I have been posting EXACTLY this possibility in every single **** VC thread or post game thread for the last 2 weeks - after Kemba played like dog **** again and again and again. Stevens has been lying & they have been keeping it hush hush. Kemba is definitely **** up again, He needs to sit. Brad has been very good & should take many of his minutes.

If Lakers win it all, there should be an asterisk beside it. Give them half a title.
If Celtics win it all, no asterisk. BANNER 18, BABY!!

I'm unbiased and I don't make these rules.

Can't let Dragic control the pace. Dragic was the catalyst that shifted the pace of the game in the Heat's favor. Gotta put Smart on Dragic and close out on their shooters. Can't let Crowder neat you with 3s, he was never that good in a Celtics uni, but he was wide open a lot in Game 1.

Jimmy is Jimmy in the clutch, he will find a way to beat you if the game is close. The C's have to have a good enough lead in the 4th to prevent that from happening. He was actually passive the 1st 3 quarters.

Our offensive rating in the clutch (last 5 mins of 4Q and OT): 88.2
Our defensive rating in the clutch (last 5 mins of 4Q and OT): 125.0
Our effective FG% in the clutch (last 5 mins of 4Q and OT): 29.4%

I suggest we have a 30-point lead heading into the 4th for this game. GINO TIME!!

Kemba has no explosiveness. It is quite disconcerting To see. I think after this season. We won’t see him back to one up the 2021-22 season. He needs rest or a scope.

Each time it means that we have to play another game, to win the Series.

That's like 3 extra games so far, that we didn't need to play.

This is such a great post. Raptors series should have ended in five absolute max and last night should have absolutely been a win. That's up to four extra games the Celtics played.

Celtics probably won't come back from being down 0-2 and Hayward isn't coming to save them this series.

Kemba has been struggling obviously but the main issue is a Celtics inability to stop people and they have to. There's a fine line between winning and losing and unfortunately when it comes to close games the Celtics are on the losing end of most of these because they can't make a stop or two.

At this point there is almost no need to watch the first 45 minutes of the game because celtics will come out strong, or not get a 10-point lead in the first or fourth and ultimately it will still come down to one or two possessions in the final two minutes because his team is so inconsistent and there was no lead that is safe.

Smart on Dragic
Tatum on Butler

No idea who that is but it makes sense. He was pretty good defensively, from what I recall, the first part of the raps series but the longer the series went on the worse he was. This could very well explain why he looks the way he does. Probably not helping when Walker when the Celtics continue to play unnecessary games.

Since the infamous OG Anunoby game 3 winning three, here is Kemba from three: 1/6, 1/6, 1/6, 1/7, 1/9. He gets a pass in the TOR series because of the way the Raptors clamped down on him, but the looks he got against Miami were looks that he used to knock down. I still have faith in my guy though. Hopefully, it's not the knee that's bothering him.

Love that we took 40+ threes. Hate that we let Miami have so many uncontested threes.

The mission for this game needs to be cleaning up the perimeter defense. Wayyyyy too many open 3’s given up. Can’t do that with this Heat team. They shot their way back into it because we let their snipers get open look after open look. Extremely difficult to win when you let your opponent shoot 44% from deep for the game

First post on realgm.

It never felt like the C's were up 12 at any point in the game. It felt like we were getting gut punched throughout the game.

That's how miami has been winning games hitting 3 pointers isnt unusual for them. Allowing 44 points in the paint or whatever it was was the real issue.

I know a lot of people want Hayward back...but we should and could have won this game without him. And we do got a chance to beat Miami. Key is limiting the mistakes on both ends of the court.

This loss was more about Boston than Miami.

True I was surprised they scored that many in the paint.

Agreed. Issues with this team is that no lead is safe. I get having a fast start and the other team comes back early in the game. It is something else to give up a 8 or 10 point lead in the 4th.

Team just goes through too many stretches where they get get a 10 point lead, then get outscored 12-2 in 4 minutes and all of a sudden they are down 2 and are in a rock fight the last 4 minutes of the game.

Celtics won't beat Miami without Hayward.

The team is way too fatigued after the Toronto series and having a depleted bench and only one day of rest in-between games isn't helping either...

Gordon needs to get back onto the court ASAP if the Celtics want to make the Finals.

Backcuts, Dragic/Butler drives, Bam Bamming, and transition layups. Miami not a fun offense to defend after a grueling 7-game series against TOR. NO EXCUSES THOUGH. FIND A FRICKING WAY.
