I'll repost this sentiment for posterity in this thread --

Once the Knicks use their cap space and go away as a stalking horse, Hayward/Indy will have no leverage. Boston will be the only realistic alternative for Hayward and Ainge can dictate an ultimatum-type deal for either a better player than McDermott or a pick. Or Ainge can just re-sign him if Indy won't capitulate.

Nothing's official yet. I think they expanded the original Bucks-Pelicans trade to a 4-teamer, now involving the Thunder and Mavs. I am so confused too.

Next time people mock 100proof's proposals, just look back at this trade haha.

By the end of the month, we will find that there's been only one trade in the NBA so far this league year, which has spread to include all 30 teams.

That said -- do we want to get George Hill for our bench?

Wing and Guard signings have 0 relevance to the big market. Look at the signings here that a serviceable non-star starting big goes for 9-16M. Turner makes more than that, hence he's a slight negative asset. Do I think we can rehab that value and make it positive, sure, but you don't pay for that on the trade market. The facts are he's a bench big making 18M per year.

This is probably the trade so it won't happen but I was so looking forward to the 7 team trade the Smitty said leaked. I am such a trade nerd.

Almost no one on that list is a starting C. Half of them play for the Pistons.
Could not disagree more on that take.

Wood has started 14 games in his NBA career and Bertans is a back up SF. They have a unique skill at a unique size and that has gotten them paid.

I think Turner is much more comparable to Al Horford. Not the passer but more athletic and a better shot blocker. As we saw a at times in ATL and his first year in Boston and last year in PHI, Al not used properly can be disappointing production wise. When used properly he can be an All Star.

I keep trying to get Hill to Boston, but he's a slippery fella.

...who am I kidding, he'll end up in LA for one of LeBron's 2016 championship jerseys and a bag of cheetos.

Turner is 24 and can turn into a legit starter under Brad. He's Already been a solid starter in Indy.

I picture Sam Presti sitting on a Oklahoma throne in OKC with an infinity gauntlet and adding stones each time he gets a 1st rounder.

The list isn't a "take" it's literally a list of the big man signings so far. He is playing starter minutes. I thought Sabonis had completely taken his spot, but would you rather pay 18M for Myles or Poetl and Trez??

These picks are nice and all but they become redundant and lose value. OKC will more than likely tank or be a borderline playoff team. OKC has like 17 first rounders in the next what 5 years ? They will definitely lose value eventually. The hope for them is they can get somebody and maybe hit on a few of them lottery ones, imo.
Good assessment:

Guarantee they draft about 4 or 5 future MVP's who end up leaving them and winning rings with the Heat and Lakers. Teams like OKC have no **** hope.
