I have never been a Marcus Smart fan. So much of his success on defense can be attributed to dirty play and flopping. But he's not alone in this and his impact on that end (however he gets it) can't be denied. Congratulations to him

There is a different feel to this team this year. I feel a finals trip coming at least. But I really believe in a title. Call me crazy but I really think we have enough.

Marcus Smart has made defense his craft. I think you can point at a handful of other players around the league and say, hey, maybe this guy makes a bigger impact when he's on the court. But nobody has dedicated himself more to the craft and skill of playing good defense, nobody puts their body on the line more than he does, nobody fights and scraps more than he does, nobody is feistier than he is.

He deserves this. This is the legacy he gets as a reward. For decades, his name will come up when people talk about great defenders.

Kudos to a leader of men.
