Expecting a bunch of smaller deals involving rotation players today. Nets pulled the trigger early on the KD & Kyrie trades knowing they'd do follow-up deals. They have an overload of wings, no starting PG (Simmons has retired afaic lol), no backup C. Yam Madar and Kabengele for Cam Johnson let's go!

KD is a good get for the Suns but I wonder if the Suns would have been better off trading Ayton than Bridges (and getting back more in addition).

Mikal Bridges is the type of player who belongs on a contender, not on a newly rebuilding team, I am guessing the Nets look to move him. Royce O'Neale prob falls in the same category. Finney Smith too I guess.

Granted Nets might be decent if they can get Simmons to live up to his potential. Lots of good role players, just need someone to step up and be a star.

So KD gone for a bunch of picks and no stars. Pretty much the Gobert trade plus Bridges.
So, litterally no contending (or fringe) teams in the NBA were willing to give a star for KD.
Now the Suns are the west favorite injury permitting.

Just because we shot great on 3 doesn’t mean we are good. Did we just lose at home against the suns minus booker, because we can’t shoot and defend the perimeter. We can’t rely on shooting great every game. We need insurance for Rob and Al. If Blake didn’t shoot well, we lose that game.

Jaylen looks like he's going to miss a couple of weeks, and Al needs time off from time to time. Maybe it could honestly work. I doubt it, but it's somewhat possible, I guess. The problem becomes if Jae still thinks this is 2017 and he should be starting over Jaylen Brown.
