Leading up to the 2005 draft, I once dreamt that we drafted Charlie V. (literally, I didn't necessarily want us to draft him)

Guess it finally happened.

Do I like the player.... Yes

Do I think we can use a player like this.... Yes

Do I think our coach Joe who loves 3 point shooters will even give him a legit chance??.

Very uncertain...
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Reading on the GB draft thread that a lot of fans hoped Walsh would land on their team. Grizzlies and Suns fans to name a few. Some were surprised he came out in this year's draft class as he would've been a 1st rounder in next year's draft.

This is really the big question here. Will there be playing time for Walsh to develop? With the current roster being deep, i don't think he'll get the chance.

He was ranked 29th on my board.

With the recent trend of players still growing, Walsh could end up near 7 feet with a 7'8" wingspan. Carry the hell on.

Yeah, he measured 6' 5.75'' without shoes at the combine. Almost 6'7" with shoes.

Yeah the shoes add 1 - 1.5 inches. So with shoes, he'd be 6'6.75" - 6'7.25", somewhere in there. And NBA uses in-shoes measurements as official ones. And if you're a half inch over, they round up.

So officially, he's 6'7". Just like he was listed on the arkansas roster:

Decent value for where he was taken. He brings energy and seems pretty bright. I don't see him every being anything more than a end of rotation role player like Grant though. Next year's draft is better which is why I think he risked coming out this year. Looks like it didn't pay off. His loss is our gain because you can never have enough wings that are willing defenders.

Watched a ton of SEC games and Walsh is like DeAndre Hunter. Great value pick.

Hope the Celtics give him some PT because he plays hard like Smart.

Jordan Walsh played well at the combines.

"Walsh has been inching up draft boards after declaring following his freshman season, and even though he showed talent at Arkansas, his rise has been off of potential. He had an impressive NBA combine and seems to be an ideal fit in most new-look systems in the league. Oklahoma City is needing depth in the front court, and more importantly, someone who can help defend the elite forwards of the NBA.

The 6-foot-7 defender totaled 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and a blocked shot in 21 minutes of action at the combine in his final 5-on-5 scrimmage session, catching many eyes from league executives." - ROSS LOVELACE
