Svi for anyone else might help. Maybe we can get Giannis's other brother.

Celtics Roster, 1st Half, 2023-24:
Starters: Holiday - White - Brown - Tatum - Porzingis
Rotation: Pritchard - Hauser - Horford/(Kornet)
Reserves: Banton - Mykhailiuk- Walsh - Brissett - Stevens
Two-Ways: Davison - Peterson - Queta

I view that "Reserves" tier Svi/Stevens/Brisset/Banton as essentially one player. If you could Frankenstein them into one rotation piece, he'd be a great utility player. Maybe one day Walsh can be that guy, but right now you pick whichever guy fits the situation most and ideally never have to use 2 at the same time.

If we can somehow add picks to a combination of those guys to find that Frankenstein, that'd be the ideal move from Stevens. That and/or finding an heir apparent to Horford.

I still like Tate as that guy. Only need to send three bench guys as salary and he’s definitely good enough to make a top-9.

This team needs a better number one not an 8th man. An 8th man will not fix the lack of high level reads in crunch time by our “number 1”

I dont think that we need to make any changes to the Top 8.
Banton - Mykhailiuk - Brissett - Stevens - Kornet = Can all be traded, for some type of Upgrade.

The Two-Ways: Davison - Peterson - Queta, are all decent projects, that cost us nothing.
Walsh is also on a Cheap contract, and shows us promise.

I view this as closer to the truth than any other post made in this thread. Tatum is a great player but I just don’t trust him in crunch time. I just don’t think he has the killer instinct you need. Yeah. I think he’s too soft. But I do think a championship can be won with him as the number 1. It starts with staying healthy, especially KP. But better decision-making and shot-taking by Tatum in crunch time would go a long way towards getting this team where it needs to be. And that’s hoisting the trophy. There is no other acceptable outcome this year.

The stats show they are a relatively low-scoring group but we have plenty of guys who can put the ball in the basket and it's not like we sub out all the starters and have the bench out there all at once. So they really just need to space the floor, provide some energy and compliment the starters, which they do.

From the other thread, that Al and KP haven't been great together (about zero +/-).

Do they need a better (more mobile) third big so they can go double big if they want? Or do they have too much depth at C if those two are at their best not playing together?

They aren’t getting rid of top 8. That means starting 5, Horford, Hauser PP. Nuts to give up PPs shooting, y’all crazy.

They would have to trade from 9-14. Kornet, Stevens, Brissette, Mihaulik, Banton, Walsh.
