Going to KP on offense worked early, but we then went to Brown and Tatum Iso late. KP with only 4 points in the second half, after 17 in the first half.

Live and die by the three and our superstars have no clue how to close a game out at the end. PTSD from the Heat and Warrior series….. the J’s pressed way too much and tightened up when the game was on the line.

Is it just me or did JT maybe get fouled by KCP on that last shot but they didn't call it? Thought he may have gotten hit on the lower body..JT normally isn't gonna miss that shot so badly - especially with the game on the line where he focuses even more.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Murray and Jokic proved why they're champs.
Only positive thing I can take out of tonight is this is game #42 and we have time to get better. Hopefully enough time for slow learners.
I REALLY wanted that win. More importantly, I wanted us to execute well esp in the clutch. 0-2 there.
Derrick White and KP took all those haymakers from basically a perfect game from Jokic and Murray and the Jays did the same **** they do in high pressure games.

And this new one player would do what with 1 shot attempt while watching the jays. Take most of them?
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Where was the double on Murray or Jokic? When those two are scoring at will, let someone else prove they can beat you.

AGAIN. Well coached playoff teams WANT JB to shoot these 19 shots.
I don’t understand why our least efficient player is entitled to more shots than White and KP on such a frequent basis.

I've been cautioning this group for a long time about the performance of Hauser, Pritch and Kornet against Miami, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Denver, the Clippers, Minnesota and OKC.
Tonight was an example of what I was referring to.
True but at the end of the day Tatum will determine how far this team goes as evidenced against the Timberwolves the other night and Denver tonight. We have a talent advantage against every team we face but the coaching deficit might make it a wash. The lack of offensive sets down the stretch is insane. Porzingis in the high post or White in the pick n roll driving right or Brown catching it off a curl at the free throw line would have probably made the difference tonight but it is what it is.

I thought Tatum was overmatched by the moment tonight. He overthought things and he forced things. And he dragged back on defense after not getting the calls he wanted. JB was worse but they were both bad.
Joe also didn't seem to have anything to add the last five minutes.

Denver are champs for a reason. Their big 2 outperformed ours by far too. Learn and move on.

Re: Celts Can't Dip The Nuggets! Loss vs DEN 1/19
It was a great back and forth game. Tough loss, but that's the defending champs.
Tatum and Brown combine to go 2-17 from 3, that's not going to be a recipe for success even against bad teams. Both of them should have shifted to going downhill more and getting to the paint. Only 5 free throw attempts between the pair, they're leaving easy money on the table by not attacking the rim.
Brown has to make those free throws though. Only 2 he took all night, which is a travesty in and of itself, but to miss them when it matters is not what you should be getting from a supermax guy. And Tatum, our soon to be 2nd supermax guy, gotta find a way to finish that layup and/or that iso to end the game.
Jrue has me a bit concerned because of how much you hear from Bucks fans about him disappearing in the playoffs. Good defense as always but pretty empty stat-line.
Their two best guys had amazing nights putting up 69 combined on really efficient scoring. Our two best guys had mediocre nights with only 35 off the back of terrible 3 point shooting. And we still only lost by 2 points and had a chance to win it at the end. The sky is not falling. We still got this.

They doubled Murray once but long after they should have forced the ball out of his hands.

You have a point, but a real coach would integrate him into the offense and find shots for him.

They really didn't have to do anything but watch JT, as they knew we weren't going to anyone else there.

Denver scored 102 defense wasn’t the issue. They got every stop down the stretch

Pritchard/Hauser are kind of pointless at this point I won’t lie. Get cooked by everyone(especially Pritchard) and way too many players that will get shots over them.

A healthy Suns beat Denver. 3 alphas in Durant, Beal, and Booker is the recipe to beat them. If JB and JT stepped up we would have won tonight.
