Jaylen and Jayson almost got triple doubles. That would have been cool. They get my votes, D.White was Mr.4th but I thought he was awful the other 3 quarters. Jrue also deserves love.

Kind reminder that the loss to the Clippers didn't mean anything either. It was just one game, and these guys -- unlike Kawhi or LeBron -- aren't robots and will have off nights.

I was mocking it. To me every game matters in some way.

Defense turned it around specifically when Tatum went to Ingram after D white was just too small to affect him.

Didn't watch this game after New Orleans lead by 11 after Q1. Alternated between a movie and the Nets destruction of Utah by 33 due to one of their best shooting games ever. Amazing what a team can do if they are healthy, with everyone there, and they can't miss while getting 12 steals.

Anyway, ... surprised that Tatum brought his All-NBA game and Jaylen decided he needs to produce to beat out Brunson, Mitchell and Maxey for a spot on the All-Star Team. Holiday was apparently great in his 33 minutes, and I can see that Al played like a younger version of his self.

It's worth noting that the Celtics shot 43-85 (50.6%) overall while only shooting 17-46 (37%) from 3. Their 2 pt. % alone was 66.6%.
The Celtics also limited their turnovers to 11 and Fouls to 15, which was obviously a crucial reason why they pulled this one out in addition to outstanding overall Team Shooting.

An alternative view:

Pts + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+29.5 Jayson Tatum 38 minutes despite 7 Turnovers
+27.5 Jalen Brown 37 minutes

+19 Jrue Holiday 33 minutes
+16 Al Horford 36 minutes

+11 Derrick White 35 minutes
+8.5 Sam Hauser 26 minutes

+3.5 Neemias Queata 10 minutes
+2.5 Oshae Brissett 11 minutes
+0.5 Payton Pritchard 14 minutes

Team Total = 118

I don't even know what magic the scorers pulled. Jaylen had at least one turnover that started a fastbreak for the Pelicans.

Not enough love for JB in here and he's my VC for the near triple double with no turnovers.

JT close but 7 turnovers should get the CP, but I'm actually voting Al to show some love for stepping up and having an efficient game.

White and Jrue had important moments but were a little patchy.

Brown had at least one of his vintage dumb turnovers (not sure why the boxscore doesn't show it), but he still had a great game. 7-to-1 ratio is brilliant.

Just finished watching after playback.. I'm happy we won because I was getting worried that we would not be able to win without KP anymore..

This team looks so different Without him on both sides of the ball....
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

They counted it as a block shot instead of a turnover. He also had his normal travels and offense fouls they let slide.

Derrick White went 1-17 over 2 games then 5-6 in the 4th for the win, that’s why he’s my GOAT

Zion looked gassed last half of the 4th quarter, I think that's why. God help the competition if he takes his preparation seriously.

I doubt that exact play has been practiced or carefully taught. But eventually Hauser had an idea for a simple action that worked.

Haliburton, Turner, Jalen Smith, and Mathurin all listed as QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow's game vs. the Pacers, who had their day off today.

Would have given the VC to JT if not for that team high 7 turnovers. Gave it to brown instead. White made timely shots in the 4th. Jrue was good early. JT was great at attacking the basket, was meh when he settles for the 3. Wish Horf would still try to score inside especially when Zinger is out. Hope we can lessen our 3pt chucking offense. This team is big, fast and athletic. We should be dominating teams by attacking inside non stop. Only take 3’s when wide open.
