Horrendous game by JB, awful by White, Jrue, KP. Tatum was our best starter and even he had a bad game.

Game doesn’t mean **** going forward but its **** annoying that its vs the Lakers. Get ready for the 150 page post game thread, its going to get ugly

Losing to a Laker team without Lebron and AD is a fluke.

I won't accept any statement about LA shooting ridiculous numbers from 3, we gave them the confidence in themselves early and allowed them to get going.

People can say everything they want about Joe, but this is exactly what he has been preaching for weeks. He knows this mentality is an issue with some of our guys and I think he is deliberately leaving them to themselves to learn some lessons in game, knowing it's better to take a loss now IF (and only if) the lessons are actually heeded from the loss.

I find it funny when posters try to blame the role players like Porzingis, White and Jrue. This is 100% on Tatum and Brown. They are the stars. They set the tempo and lead or fail to lead in this case. They have the ball in their hands most of the time so they need to play with energy and focus.

The role players all struggled but I thought Brown looked similar to game 7 of the ECF. His game just unravels if he can't get it going shooting. He needs to find other ways to contribute when his shot isn't falling. Big ups to Hauser and Queta who played with energy and focus though.

Holy crap you guys that was exceptionally unpleasant! Major yikes lmao.

The C's basically spent the 1st quarter bouncing the ball off their faces and into the wrong team's hands. Messed around and got burned. They played a little better after that, but by then the Lakers were full of confidence and their normally poor shooters were raining 3's on our head all night. Celts never got going as a team and came away with a ridiculous loss.

Only potential meaningful takeaway going forward to me is teams with size across the board make life tough for us. There is a good chance the team that wins the West will fit this bill if we make the Finals (DEN, LAC, MIN, even OKC)

Austin Reaves averages 15.2 points. He got 32 on us.

Jaxson Hayes averages 3.1 points. He got 16 on us with 11 boards.

Hayes was staring KP down at different points in the game. Reaves and Russell with the clown "ice in the veins" nonsense.

Do Wyc, Brad, and JVG watch these games? Is anyone ever going to say or do anything to stop the nonsense? I don't care what our record is, these losses are about the same mentality, the same bad habits showing up.

There are no signs from anyone that it can or will be fixed.

How much of a factor is this team having that much talent vs how they are being coached, being the reason why they are at the top of the league on offense and defense?

I hate to agree with Barkley on this, but I truly feel this team just wins on talent in most games, and Joe is just lucky to have this much talent on his roster. But mental toughness? Effort on defense? Nah.

I agree to an extent that he can force them to run an actual offense but the Jays have had the same problems with multiple coaches. Fundamentally, I think their offense is flawed though because they run it through them so much and they just don't make quick decisions and like to iso. I thought Ime was the perfect personality for this team because they had more structure, a stronger personality. Not to say he was so some offensive guru.
