The Rondo thread reminded me of how controlling Carlisle used to be as coach of the Mavs, calling out plays and so on. (He and Rondo butted heads over who would decide what Rondo would do on a play-by-play basis.)

Yes, I’m getting the feeling he’s not progressing as much as he thought. Probably why he’s not even attending the games, we’ll be lucky if he comes back at all, at this point.

Was talking to a coworker about this earlier today - I think he may have. Didn't Mazzulla say in a recent post game presser (or pregame) that he has no idea what KP's status is? Then he also said he hasn't even practiced at all. Not sure if they practiced at all today but there's only a day between games - not sure he's on track to see any G4 minutes.

Regardless, 10 days in between for the Finals should be good for him if we take care of business. Though I [i]also[i] can't imagine just dropping him into a Finals series after being out a month would be any good.

Idk, maybe I'm being too pessimistic. I just want us healthy and good to go for a potential finals run.

I think he'll only be a "break glass in case of emergency" guy during the Pacers series.
