I will try to add more later but for now there aren't many players who absolutely always played the right way but even more so lived the right way..

Bill Walton at UCLA was the pinnacle of college hoops. Those epic games against NC State were as good as the sport gets. What a loss.

I am very very sad
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

A different clip with Parish and Carlisle has Rick describing it as "8 or 9 guys" and not quite as mind-blowing and experience.
I like Bill's version better.

I got to meet Walton about years ago. He was just like on TV, just an amazing person.
Loved Walton on the Celtics and listening to him call the Pac-12 games. Great person, great player and great owner. He will be missed.

The first few seconds sounded inspired by the famous George Carlin baseball/football routine.

If it's one game for your life? Prime Bill Walton is a high level draft pick.

Re: RIP Bill Walton
Following up on Bill Walton. First on Basketball. I think one of his records of taking and making 21 of 22 shots in a College Championship game will never be Broken. Making it even more amazing was there was a no Dunking Rule (offensive interference) I believe??? And despite that scoring Prowess Bill always looked to pass first.
On Life, I once met a man, 'Egan" who was in a dangerous line of Work. That man/neighbor and I had dozens of conversations on everything. I also witnessed that man in many Conversations with others. Almost not a single sentence was that man able to express/convey a thought or opinion without Smiling or even laughing. And when a subject that came up that was tragic or sad, he eloquently spoke some amazing and inspirational words and somehow made even feel like it was going to Be OK.
There certainly are some very positive and caring people out there and certainly far more positive than me.
Saying that, Bill Walton has to be the only one I have ever heard that was like 'Egan".
If you can't appreciate and admire Bill Walton, then you are probably just not capable of liking anyone.

Bob Ryan agrees with you and has said that Bill (if healthy) is the center he's taking in that scenario.
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

Re: RIP Bill Walton
I thought this was a cool video. His relationship with his sons is great here. He raised them well. Nate and Luke are very successful. Especially Nate. I'm sure all of them are really good people like their dad.
