Do you mean without White??

The Celtics were 6-3 without White last season, which was the worst record they had missing any one player.

Then he needs to sit but he's been a step slower all season especially defensively. He will still be valuable in the POs given the slower tempo and increased physicality allowed. This is probably his last season here though.

Atkinson was the the guy I wanted to replace Ime. He's got this Cavs team humming. Really good coach.

I'm just upset that we were already up double digits in the 4th and had the game won.. and just handed the game over to them. so stupid

I know we didn't win (almost, but not quite) BUT look how happy we made the Cavs players. It looked like they already won the title. And the pretend Celtics fans too! Congrats!

I hate losing games by giving a team something you knew would happen over and over again. Everybody knew Mitchell would shoot until he missed and we let him hit like 4 in a row. Tatum gets trapped relentlessly and we let the other super star do whatever he wants. Very annoying.

Mazzulla will never win me over as an in game coach. Maybe he is the best in the league at motivating and player management and all that, but to me he is still one of the worst ones in the league in games. Everything we do is so predictable and so conservative and when something different is tried it seems to always be too late.

Most of the people on this board are awesome but it’s always good to see the losers on this board chime in & act like we’re done after a loss

Mitchell is the best offensive player between these 2 teams and took the game over when it mattered. We will beat them in the playoffs, but it’s gonna be real series.

Yep, it's 6-4 now. He rarely misses games.

Mitchell 4 straight buckets and 3 of them were 3s.

If Mitchell is that great, he would've been in the finals already.

He's been doing that since his Utah Jazz days.

I mean always great in the regular season, but always comes up short in the playoffs.

If you think about it, the Cavs needed an explosion from Mitchell and 2 Celtic starters missing for the Cavs to get a win.

Sour grapes. Mitchell has been a killer for years. And often in the playoffs.

Just give them their flowers.

Like I said, credit to them, but the Celtics were really at a disadvantage because they were missing 2 starters.

Yeah, Mitchell has been a killer for years, but the guy has never been to a conference finals because when the game slows down, in the playoffs, and teams focus on stopping him, he struggles.

Might want to start trying Pritchard to close games in the regular season instead of Jrue to see what it looks like when fully healthy. He has improved a lot on the defensive end. I was one of the morons on here trying to trade him and picks for that bum Caruso

They went from their best 3rd Quarter of the season to their worst 4th, all in one game.

Seemed to have run out of gas and Bubble-Headed Play by Mazzulla and Tatum in the final quarter; Holiday was awful;
Horford was merely bad. And you have to be somewhat concerned about the decline in those two.

PP kept them in the game in the 4th and almost pulled off a fantastic play. He is so clutch...

A shocking appearance by Springer who of course accomplished nothing as usual.

Though credit to Brad for finding a decent, cheap talent in Peterson, who was more productive in
one game, than Walsh/Springer/Tillman have been all season.

Looking at the replays, Jrue was high picked twice and KP was in Drop Coverage. Mitch should have been hard trapped for sure. and playing Al late clogged up Tatum big time as the team left Al open 2x near the end.

Fun game, not so fun outcome. Respect to Mitchell for making every shot down the stretch. Nice to see Peterson get some minutes and hold his own. Hopefully we'll see more of the deep bench this week because 5 games in 7 nights is stupid.

Let them have this one. Who cares anyway? We know and they know we are the better team.

Mitchell was torching Jrue lol. And on top of that, Jrue was the worst offensive player on the floor. Just a disaster game for him. Probably would've been better off benching him in the 4th

Crunch time has always been the most pressing issue with this team. Defensively I’m not worried, no White or Brown is big vs a team like the Cavs. Offensively though the Tatum iso dribbling down the clock… You would think by know they’d go away from so much iso with all the weapons this team has.
