How about blaming the 5 starters that didn’t show up to play?

I’ll say it again, they are bored and taking every teams best shot while thinking they can just rock up and win.

Great that they got benched, will be interesting how they take that with the Knicks next, but far from actually worried at all.

It’s hilarious how some fans just love bashing bench dudes when the starters play badly too.

You’re not going to win a lot of games when your starters are junk.

You are right. There definitely is an arrogance to the team this year and it’s costing them wins. Last season there were some letdown games but we also won a lot of games we shouldn’t have (back to backs, depleted line up etc).

The difference in how they seemed to execute and put in defensive effort against the Mavs vs the Cavs was night and day.

Tatum needs to stop **** around in games and go back to using his height properly and asserting himself on games.

Memphis and Cavs are the top 2 scoring teams this season.

Both teams use a 10-man rotation and no player from both teams get more than 31 minutes per game.

If we want to see more bench players play, plead to the Jays because they're calling the shots, not Joe.

For context, no way JT averages 27 ppg and JB 23 ppg if they only play 31 minutes per game.

It's about individual stats and personal goals.

Not to be too negative but we’re starting to have more nights where it’s not Al Horfords night.
Al has been a great Celtic and his demise has been announced a dozen times in his later years
And Als demise has always been greatly exaggerated and he bounced back…

But Tonight was NOT Al Horfords night
Maybe Al doesn’t need to play every night anymore, once a week for February, Blake Griffin plan or something, we have six bigs

Being guarded and stopped by Kyrie, who is shorter by a head
He needs to get the ball down low and operate from there. This is on him and the coach

The one time he actually did this resulted in s Kyrie foul

He is who he is at this point. The 4th-6th best player in the league at his best, who can go months long stretches of looking like a fringe top 20 player. Just disappointed that I had false hope he was making the leap early in the season.

Part of it is he knows he doesn’t have to have it every night.

He felt far more consistent to me in 2020-2021

It’s pretty obvious he doesn’t have a lot left in the tank and they’re trying to preserve whatever is left for the playoffs.

He was good against Cleveland but yeah he certainly isn’t capable of playing starter minutes on a regular basis anymore.

Knew it was trouble from the jump

Stay ready crew played good
Forced Kidd to play his starters

Players are to blame. But the coach could have mixed it a bit when he saw that things are not working. Mainly the energy on defense wasn't there. Walsh and Queta bring a lot of energy
I don't say we will win this game with them, but please try something else

The Jays are gassed. Start managing minutes for both. Let Thibs run his team to the ground for the 2nd seed.

Yeah, exactly, with one days rest if Al balls out, he’s cooked the next game
He can’t have two strong games on only 1 day rest, used to just be in playoff intensity
But we need to roll back Al big time this stretch before the ASG

You are correct.

It's immaturity.

The discipline on the court is simply not there.

Too careless with the ball.

We have been on 1 day rest for basically a month. We really need that ASG break. Hopefully the Jays don’t play much in the games.

You wish!

Knowing the Jays, both will go after the ASG MVP.

Right, don’t just blame the coach. Coach could’ve tried to inject some energy, won’t argue.

Worst loss of the season. Noticing a recurring trend with Mazzulla letting the Jays get away with these 1/2 assed efforts which is leading to a lot of these terrible losses. It kills the energy of everybody else because the ball starts and ends in their hands. He caters to their egos so they can get theirs. They need to be benched when it's clear they're not focused. Mazzulla has also become an expert at cooling off the non-Jays with his garbage rotations, instead of going with what is working. White tonight. No, let's stick him in the corner and let JB turn the ball over again and again.

it's been said over and over, Mazzulla lacks the ability to adjust. it didn't cost them last season because of their overwhelming talent advantage but it has closed and chances are it will end up costing this team. Even worse, this has made this team unwatchable at times this season. It's not all about winning but playing an enjoyable brand of bball fans enjoy, and this season has been rough. The fault is mostly at Mazzulla's doorstep.

Opposite happened last season.

Cs were great at home during the season, but went undefeated in the playoffs on the road.

All 2 playoff losses were at home.
