Good win. It was cool to see how into it Craig was on the bench, cheering and getting pumped when we were playing well. Look forward to seeing him out there..probably after the all star break.

VC for Tatum and..hmm, the other one it's a tough one, I'll go Hauser but d-white and Horford in the running.

That block Kornet had on Bam was sick, btw. One of the better blocks I've seen by anybody all season. Gotta love Luke. He timed that just right.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Great showing after a languid start

For that reason going with a curveball and voting “coach” and Scheierman for Joe putting him in in the first quarter — starters were playing like total zombies and having someone out there who actually was excited to play basketball? Let’s say that turned everything around. Also Hauser for going ballistic.

But good job, Joe. Trust and play your bench guys. A few minutes here and there could go a long way!

The brickfest turned into a brick oven in the 3rd qtr.

20 pts in the 3rd for JT.

Nice win.

VC to Tatum and Al.

Tatum was great after that 1st quarter. Two back to back great games for Tatum

Al with a smooth double double and 4 made 3s. He also played good defense all game. Al is picking it up the last week. Good too see.

KP was good after a slow 1st quarter.

Hauser kept us in the game with his hot shooting in the 1st half. He was the only one that could make a 3 for us in that half.

Pritchard didn't shoot well but he was feasting on the boards with 10 rebounds to go with 8 assists.

Queta that that big time dunk in the 4th. He played well in limited minutes.

Props to Joe. As much as I get on him when he coaches bad, I like to give him props for when he coaches well.

One of Al's better games this season with 16 and 10.

The double big really giving opposing teams problems in the paint.

Al as the initial defender and KP as the secondary defender was really effective.

The chance of White or PP guarding the opposing Center was really low when it was a double big in the game.

There’s no reason Tatum can’t be scoring like this or having this much usage like he’s shown the last 2 games. He averaged 30 2 seasons ago.

Even with Tatum struggling shooting 3-10 in the first half, you still continue to give him the ball for him to make the decisions, I’ll always live with the results as long as Tatum is aggressive and that doesn’t mean just scoring but having the ball in his hands making plays. Anything is better than Tatum taking a backseat which he has done a lot this season.

I saw KP have less touches in the second half but he looked way more effective not being required to give him the ball almost every play on offense when he’s in, what’s better is Derrick white was more involved and got going.

He averaged 30 two seasons ago because we didn't have KP and Jrue. He isn't going to have 30. He doesn't need to.
Tatum has sacrificed his game, but so has Jrue. Jrue was averaging 19 a game the season before he came to Boston.

The reason some fans, including myself have gotten on Tatum is because of his lazy 3 point shots. He settles for too many 3s and his lazy defense. When he plays defense and attacks the rim, he is at his best. When he gives effort, the fans appreciate him.

We had 40% of our starters missing the last two games.

The Heat getting Michell didn't make much sense. Him and Rozier aren't a good fit on the same team.

Al stringing together a few good ones in a row.

It's becoming more and more obvious that Tatum takes a backseat so the other guys can get theirs. Having 4 or 5 scoring options will obviously help us in the playoffs again because it makes it impossible to game plan. But Tatum is really the epitome of selfless during the regular season. The perfect team player.

The entire game shifted when Scheierman entered in the first quarter. I'm not sure the two things are really all that related but that's the narrative I'm sticking with. Kornet turning into the ultimate Adebayo stopper is endlessly funny to me. That Tatum guy can ball. White hitting buzzer beaters against the Heat never gets old. Do it again against the Spurs Wednesday but this time give a reason to complain about Joe Mazzulla.

I agree — and it’s not necessarily Scheierman, just that the coach put in someone who WANTS TO play, to shake up the starters who had the “oh we HAVE TO play” vibe going.

Definitely an area where Joe has had (and no doubt still has) a lot of room to improve

Maybe the plan is to unload Terry in the offseason and stick with Mitchell. :dontknow:

JT was on another level of intensity vs the HEAT. Would love to know what sparked that fire last night?! That JT can take over the league! Angry Tatum is fun to watch man..... also Kornet has improved a ton this season. Celts handled their business in south beach after the slow start. Lets start defending home court on Wed!

Pritchard had a classic Rondo line, 5/10/8 (though Rondo would have padded those assists for sure).

He was pretty locked in vs the Knicks too

Think I saw he was quoted saying after the Knicks game he got some extra motivation seeing Denzel washington in the crowd.

The game before that vs the Mavs he also had some really impressive plays - think his trainer Drew Hanlen was in the crowd for that one so maybe he had extra motivation for that game.

And vs the heat last night, Bam is his buddy, Burks is his family. Heat have eliminated us from the playoffs twice (both when we were higher seeded team so really tough losses, one where Bam blocked him to beat us in 1 of the games) so certainly not a surprise if he really brings it vs them.

Interesting..why do you say that? Rozer is the microwave scorer type who is more of an offensive specialist, not as good on D..Mitchell is the defensive specialist who is limited on offense.

They had Rozier and Herro for guards. Both guys who look to score and aren't good defenders. They needed a defensive point of attack guard who could pass the ball and not need lots of shots to be effective (like Herro/Rozier do)

Yeah, when he plays like that, pretty much no way we can be beat.

Someone on Twitter joked that we should start a Go Fund Me to get Denzel Washington front row seats at every game from now on lol.
