Knickerbockers are stupid looking pants from like 100 years ago. And Goodwill is a thrift store.
Not that it's all that hilarious or anything but wanted to clarify lol.
As far as the game, the other team is going to make a run. We dominated them overall and I never felt like we were losing this one.
Great title

voted JT for being great in the 1st half and DW for being great in the 4th
KP, JB, Jrue all really effective games as well
Al was a +10 in 25 minutes and looked it, and Kornet made some good hustle plays
Sam and Payton never got going the way that would've taken this from a 20-point game to a 30+ point game, but I've got no complaints after the Cs strengthen their grip on the #2 seed

Nobody is beating this team in a 7 game series. Mark my words. edit: I would actually repeat myself and say that if they are healthy, it will be a repeat of last season and people will say its boring, ignoring this team's greatness. This is an all-time team when healthy.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Went White for righting the ship in the 4th and Tatum even though he had a string of lazy possessions in the 3rd. Rough game for Pritchard. He was getting cooked by Brunson.
Also what is it with short Nova guards? With Lowry and Brunson they have to be all time leaders in flailing heads and flopping that somehow still works on officials.

The Knicks are a non-entity.
My opinion is it’s lame to stop playing with 40 seconds left to play or whatever the time was. Can someone clue me in when this started to be a thing? What’s next? A minute to play? Then 2 minutes? Hell, if you are up 20 with 3 minutes to go might as well stop playing right? I find the whole thing ridiculous.

So... the Celtics are good again?
Are they done having any more two week stretches where they play like booty?

there's no mercy rule in professional sports, and this BS has gone from 'not a thing' to 'dramatically accelerating' over the last 10 -- 20(?) years.
In my mind, bench guys should absolutely be trying to get theirs up until the buzzer. Their court time is often precious.
Not mad if starters do, too.
If the fans are done with the game, they can start going home.
If the broadcast company is too bored, start doing your postgame show.
But "play to the final whistle" should be the ethic in all sports at all levels IMO.
What kills me most? When the team that is LOSING dribbles it out. Have some damn pride!

I agree with you both but this is a code shared by the whole league. You break the code, you're an idiot.

I'm OK with stopping serious play on the final possession. The alternative could involve free throws.
But yeah -- it should be the team that's winning that shuts things down.

So far what I've seen is guys who break the code getting barked at and maybe a pretty gentle shove. MLB will throw at your head and NHL will fight you. NBA is a primp-and-preen 'hold me back' league.
Off the top of my head the 'violators' I can remember are Zion, Chris Paul, Lance Stephenson -- not at all my favorite players, but **** yeah I'd do it too.
Heck my men's league dribbles out the clock. Who the **** cares? We're sweaty old guys who got up and put on shorts -- let's finish the game.

Reminds me of this Gerald Green last-second dunk with the game basically over that riled up Raptors fans.

Bobby Manning-
Josh Hart to CLNS after: “It’s tough. They got 3-level scorers at every single position, they got the length, defensively...you got Tatum will probably be 1st Team All-NBA, Jaylen Brown will probably be 2nd Team, then Porzingis, White, Jrue, Pritchard’s probably sixth man. They got everything, man."

It’s a make or miss league.
They started hitting a couple of tough shots and we missed some gimmies. That bench lineup that came in was rough
Pritchard let Brunson go off in the 3rd. Almost single-handedly let Knicks come back in one Q. PP couldn't stay in front of Brunson. They should've tried someone else on him but they stuck with their JT-Sam-PP-Al-Luke bench lineup.
Anyway, Brunson is just a more expensive Pritchard with higher usage and a decent midrange game.

I mean Thibs was just keeping his starters in and trying to keep in the game.
It’s why his guys end up playing so many minutes.
I’m fine with some bench lineups blowing away some leads if it means key guys get more rest.

Yep, but also replacing PP with either White or Holiday could've slowed down Brunson a bit. Likely what's going to happen in postseason whenever PP gets hunted. Not much issue with it in a February game.
