Glad that series is over, I have a beef with some general board Orlando fans, if you play a hard/borderline type of defence/thuggery (which resulted in Tatum missing a game) of course the refs are going to be hard against you.

Another Jayson Tatum playoff masterpiece, he really is taking the lack of respect for his greatness/standing in the game serious and right now he is in the height/peak of his powers.

I am in Awe of him quite frankly ! He is Jordan-Esque right now

Ball was moving well in the third, that’s Celtics basketball! JT ready to take over the NBA, he’s been phenomenal… Going to need more from
Zinger moving on man, he underperformed and Wagner owned him…..Overall great team
Win, celebrate a bit tonight and rest up

Tatum tonight and the series. Pretty sure he led in points reb and assists while missing a game..

I enjoyed the second half most. Joe probably preferred the first half though.

Tatum and Brown for me!

Prime Tatum might be a **** monster
I voted him, and only him, tonight because I was certain that one way or another he’d close this team out

I don't think it was a coincidence that when Tatum went Nuclear, it opened it up for our shooters who finally started making 3s, hence the blowout.

Avalanche and foul trouble finally crumbled their defense. And I’m slighting Brown because he carried the Cs offense for the first 6-7 minutes of the 3rd — AND got Paolo’s 4th and 5th fouls — but once JT hit that 3 it was like water ready to burst forth!

Loved it.
Enjoy the night on the beach, man

Brown's third quarter scoring burst, accompanied with putting Banchero on the bench with foul trouble was the game.

Tatum was halloffameish.

I'm pretty sure this was the only game of the series where a team lost the rebounding and won.

They bought some extra rest. Hopefully the NY/Det series goes seven.

Orlando is really good in some areas, and really lacking in others.

The next series will be totally different.

Nice first round win.

Tatum for exploding. JB for his aggressiveness to start the 2nd half.

Watching Jaysons leap this year translate into the playoffs has me pumped.

He's mastering the balance of how to insert himself in the game, whether that's on ball scoring/playmaking, off ball work in the paint or defensively. Doing things many stars either never figure out or are too arrogant to do.

Easy VC for JT and honorable mention to Sam Hauser nailing his role again.

Burn the first half tape except for Tatum.
We blasted off like a rocket in Q3.
JB dominated at first on both ends. MAJOR KUDOS TO HIM!
Then JT continued his MVP LEVEL game - best all around player in the NBA level.
Big Al is timeless.

4 down 12 to go.

We want the Knicks or the Pistons?
How bad is Brunson hurt?
Cunningham is outstanding - that team is very frisky!

In any case, I hope that series goes to a G7 on Sat w a quadruple OT
That would mean G1 R2 would be around Tues 5/6l
That would give the invaluable Jru another full week to heal up his hammy.

CELTICS!

With all that fouling I feel like Tatum played "angrier" and more "forceful" than any game in a LOOONG time.

That Tatum makes me think we can be unbeatable.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

What no one is saying, we missed some easy things to Luke, but I thought he was key! You don’t have to be flashy to stand out. He was exactly what we needed tonight.

Edit: I mean in the VC thread, constable mentioned him in the game thread.

Want the Knicks. They aren’t tough. The Pistons are, and Cade is getting better and better

We beat either of them, but NYK is 4 or 5 and DET is 5 or 6 IMO

Jamahl Mosley is complaining (somewhat classily) about touch fouls. I guess that's what you get after a bunch of games fouling like thugs.

No, Joe is touched in the head in that regard, he would only know to fight to the death. Mosley doesn’t seem like he’ll be on that level in a fight.

GREAT WIN!
So great to see Sammie and Luke have great 2nd half, just awesome!!!!!
Tatum with TEN ASSISTS ... Magic Johnson TATUM tonight!!!

A great 3rd quarter adjustment by Joe with the JT, Sam, Luke lineups, having Luke set off-ball screens to Sam to fade off and let JT float it to a re-locating Sam for the BIG catch-and-shoot 3 (maybe 2, I'm too pumped to remember!) .... Just awesome movement adjustment!
Great win and CELTS ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
letsgo!

edit: quick check, the lineup net data tonight, lol, off the charts... but... JT+Hauser = +81.8 in 12 minutes ... lol, that's ridiculous, lol

Nice win.

VC to Tatum and Brown. Tatum played a great game. He did it all. He had an amazing series.

Brown was huge to start the 3rd quarter. He scored 9 or 11 straight points when the game was close.

Al was solid. Pritchard played well.

Hauser finally had a good game. So did Kornet. I'm sure we all got mad at him in the 1st half when he got the pass within 10 feet of the basket. No one was on him and he tried to pass the ball and turned it over. He redeemed himself and played a strong 2nd half.

White had an off night.

KP was terrible again. He had a bad series. He needs to play much better.

Prop to Joe. He made good adjustments in the 2nd half.
