Horrible 3pt shooting by both teams.

Rockets really need PP's shooting in this game.

What a Tough Game. For the first Game of the Season.

Basically since the end of the fourth quarter. And two overtimes it's Sengun or KD up top going one on one. Literally no offensive imagination. And with so much struggle on offense. Why is steve adams in this lineup. Horrible horrible floor spacing horrible offensive coaching.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

they played a lot of Reed Sheppard in the OTs and he didn't look like a PG ready for this moment...

Watching Smart vs Horford. I gotta admit…..I’m rooting for Smart.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

No, he didn't look ready, but as the third pick in Last year's draft he was given very little opportunity to get ready. And that is definitely on the coach.

Rockets 21 turnovers.

I don't think they can get away with not having a true PG.

They're going to have to make a trade for a PG if they want to contend.

Queta will put up similar, if not better, numbers than Sengun in the Celtics opener. And come out with a win.

As long as we're throwing bold predictions pre-season. Anything goes.

Warriors are my 2nd least favorite team out West, and I still can't root for Lakers, lol, not under any circumstance...

Smart on the Lakers is still reflexively off putting. Seeing Smart in the Lakers jersey is like googling picture of intestinal parasites, it makes me want to wretch, lol ... Id rather look at worm infections actually

I don’t disagree. It’s impossible to root for LeBron (not playing) and Luka and worst of all the Lakers. But watching the game, my localities are with Smart. I have to admit I really hate seeing Horford playing with Curry….more so than seeing Smart in Lakers uniform. Either way, I wish them both well.

I'm rooting for Smart and Horford to win and LA and GS to lose. I got this.

Hot take #1: Austin Reaves is a Peacock player. Played great while the game was on there during OTs of the 1st game, but did nada* when it switched to the real network, lol.

* He did a little in the 4th, but I was thinking that term all the way until then and had to use it. Yeah, yeah, foul trouble, whatever. I always seem to miss when he plays well, and now I relegate him to Peacock tier.

Hot take #2: Smart was a little b out there tonight. Running around flopping and trying to stir stuff up. Complete dangerous / dirty play on that hook with Steph. Loved him when he was here - I'm just glad he never played like during his time in BOS.

Call me petty but The Lakers losing their season opener gives me an emotional security blanket if we lose to The Sixers ...

Also I loved seeing Alpie hopefully take another step forum, imagine him with The Jays (both healthy) and Derrick White/Pritchard.

That's a 70 win team right there.

Let's not forget the Cs were just 20-21 after 41 games in 2022.
Cs finished with 51 wins and ended up in the Finals.

The following season the Heat were just a play-in team and they made it to the 2023 Finals.
Mavs were the surprise Finals team in 2024.
And last season it was the Pacers shocking everyone.

The NBA is full of surprises lately.

So don't count out the Celtics yet.

After watching just a few minutes of the LA / GS game, i hate to say it, but I don't miss Smart. His flopping is just as bad, if not worse than before. The one good thing now is that I don't feel the need to defend him, and can just call it like it is - disgusting. I thought the NBA was supposed to be cracking down on flopping. If that first game is any indication, it's going to be an ugly season.

After watching last night's games, the NBA on NBC feels like Mount Everest and ESPN feels like Death Valley.

ESPN is just embarrassing, NBC put them in their place
