Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
When does preseason start FFS?
Good assessment:

I believe they're in Boston, and they've been there for a few days already. Robyn posted a pic of her complaining about how exhausting it was packing for 4 people. And a few days later, she had pics of her kids attending their first day of school..........not that I creep on Robyn's page or anything like that.
No longer a problem for me. Won't be able to stalk her as she's apparently blocked me from seeing her profile lol.
Thanks for the update!

What did you do for that to happen?

Sorry I don't kiss and tell. JK!! I dunno. My working theory is my IG account got hacked by a crazy Celtics/Hayward fan and incessantly left weird comments and messages on each one of her posts.

Not to be Mr. Narcissismo, but I believe he's holding a presscon to offer his public apology to me for getting blocked by Robyn on Instagram.

I do believe you don't have it quite right there, Constable. I expect he'll be asking for a public apology from you.

Yeah he's good to go, but does have some conditioning issues still.... he will be right eventually but needs to drop some weight and get match fitness (which is fine)
His shooting is off the charts atm, the only better shooter than him on the team is Tatum who has been LIGHTS OUT.

Good to read thanks. I get the conditioning aspect but not really the weight aspect considering he looks to be in great shape already.

Yes, seems to have really stripped away any body fat. (Yabs should have spent the last 4 months glued to his side.) It's the leg speed and quickness I worry about, but we'll see soon enough how far back he is.

Waiting to see that first hard foul on him, once that happens I won't worry about him anymore.
I don't believe in statistics. There are too many factors that can't be measured. You can't measure a ballplayer's heart. -Red Auerbach

I'd be really interested to hear more quotes from Kyrie, Smart, and others about how they think Hayward will help the team. He seems sort of in between Kyrie and Horford, in being very aware and able to facilitate for others but also with some ability to take over as a scorer. He'd been trending upward without interruption as an offensive player before his injury.
One knock on Kyrie before last year was that he was too much of an ISO player, which was partly a misreading of his role in Cleveland, and to my non-pro eye he's very good at working as a kind of decoy within a team system - he's able to change pace off the ball both to get open and to draw defensive attention - he does that just by existing, but he seems to know he has the effect, too. But how are he and Gordon going to co-exist? I think they have enough intelligence and ability that we'll be able to figure it out - it's not a mis-match like Lebron, Love and Kyrie - it might even be the opposite - but there's no guarantee of smooth sailing from the start. We'll probably be able to run a more sophisticated half-court offense..
Are they doing the stupid shortened pre-season again?

Kyrie tried to recruit Hayward while still in Cleveland. They want to play on the same team

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
I saw that, yeah.. but thinking someone's a good player and wanting to team up isn't evidence your games will mesh well together. Kyrie didn't have his ball-dominant tendencies tested at all last year. Think they could excel together but it has to happen.
