Didn't they rent out the whole theater for a few guys?

I assume so. I more meant because he’s so big. Lol. I mean...rent the theater or not, he’d need special seats.

Stairs maybe? Or the front row, just as long as nobody sits behind him lol.

Problem is matching salary without sending out any of those guys. We have no trade ballast salary.

Theis/Kanter/Langford gets you there, I think..

A lot of theaters have two or three infiniite legroom rows, rather than just the one at the very front. I'm guessing that this particular theater is one of those, solely because that would make sense.

I don't think that is even close. In all likelihood the Pacers hang up the phone on Ainge if he offers that package for Turner.

Yep, looks like they need to get $5 million within Turner's $18 million....

I have no idea how appealing Langford and the Memphis pick is to Indiana? I can't imagine they'll want Hayward given he can opt out of his contract next summer... Also, Boston's probably better off keeping Hayward, and the core together..

Pacers aren't dealing Turner or Sabonis until they have Oladipo back. Probably see how well the team plays then. If they are still bad and it's apparent that Turner/Sabonis duo don't work well, then that's when Danny should place a call. If the Pacers are interested in doing a deal, then I think they would love Hayward. He's a hometown guy, even more so than Oladipo, who only played for the Hoosiers. Works out for all parties, IMO. Pacers get a guy that they like, Boston gets a piece that fits alongside Tatum/Brown, and the Haywards get to go home.

Sorry, to be clear, I just meant in terms of matching salary. Matches for Capela, too..

Anyway I don’t think there’s anything for us to do unless we get an offer that’s too good to turn down. Develop Williams and see how Kanter, Theis and Poirier do. Kanter could get a big contract next summer if he managed to get his act together on defense..

I don't get why the Rockets would deal Capela. They don't have a replacement for him and they don't want to punt the season....

Kanter, wannamer, semi, langford for capela.

Houston gets depth, saves money.
Boston gets a center that will work with a big 4 of kemba/brown/tatum and hayward.

Kemba/edwards/waters
Brown/smart/strus
Tatum/green
Hayward/gwilliams/theis
Capela/rwilliams/poirier

Would need to pick up a depth sf off the bench for the 15th spot though.

Do you all think we need a trade thread yet? I feel like I can wait another month or so. But, if anyone wants to create one, I'll sticky it. I'm fine with it in this thread for now, too. Just trying to be your local neighborhood friendly mod.

Really wish people would stop acting like "hometown guy" means a trade is likely. I doubt that's going to be a deciding factor in a trade.

I think they would want the Memphis pick on top of what you listed. Or if you don’t want to give up the Memphis pick swap Wanamaker for R Williams and add the Milwaukee pick: I would love to add Capela though.

We don’t need a center like Capela....would be nice but we are good at C. RW, Grant, Theis and Kanter have already proven they can match up with Embiid, Gasol, Lopez. Where we need upgrade is at PF with length and athleticism to guard Siakam, Simmons and GA. We don’t need an all star but we need a solid defender who is a 3 pt threat like Grant but with length. Isaac is probably untouchable but someone like that with a contract we can trade forwould be ideal. Horace Grant from old Bulls teams is prototype. Even a guy without 3 point range but with versatility like Dennis Rodman. A guy like Montrezl Harrell comes to mind.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
