Noah is a no brainer. He's better defensively at the 5 than anything on this roster.High IQ your right no brainer.

Wonder if we could pry Bamba from the Magic, given they have Isaac and Vuc. His 36 from last year was 14-11-3

Ojeleye, Poirier as salary + some 2nd rounders. 1st round pick seems too much.

We need more salary to get Bertans. He makes 7 million. Kanter and 2nd rounders for Bertans.

Outgoing salary $0 to $6,533,333

175% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000

Ojeleye + Poirier allows to take back $7.3m

Semi & Poirier for Poeltl could be a low key help. Might have to to send a 2nd too???
He's a big body that can set screens, defend the bigger 5s so Smart doesn't have to for at least 10-15 mpg.
We'd just have to be ready for Semi to shoot 80% on 3s under Pop.

Semi & Kanter for Meyers Leonard would be my defensive big upgrade. Can bang down low with the nastiest of them. My guy is also shooting 68.8% from 3 (totally sustainable). Averaging 20 mpg on a top 5 defensive team. So I dunno why Pat would help Danny lol. 2nd rounder + gets them further away from tax?

Would like that as well, but I don't see why MIA would trade him unless he's salary for a legit upgrade (sorry S&E). I also don't see why POR traded him after he finally delivered on his promise in the playoffs after all the years they had him. Horrible moves by them this offseason.

Once Kanter is back our rebounding will be fine. I'm not worried about it, at all. Theis has done a fairly good job, btw and so have Hayward, Tatum and Brown(when he's played).
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I'm more worried about defense/positioning & screening more than rebounding. Theis has been great. But, I worry about his durability. RWIII & Kanter have holes in both those aspects as well. I think it could all work with those 3, but a lot of IFs. One more solid guy in that rotation for the cost of Semi/Vincent would be great.

But Fultz is a lesson to them that high lottery picks can work out well even if they don't excel from the getgo.

We have three centers who we want to have play -- Theis, Kanter and RobWill. So acquiring a fourth probably implies pushing one of them, presumably Theis, to PF, or else benching one of the three. And I'm not sure I'm seeing ideas good enough to justify either consequence, even given the obvious point that injuries happen.

Of course, if Theis would hit his shots, then:

A. Nobody would want to bench him.
B. Pushing him to PF would be OK.

Hayward will be eligible for 30+% of the cap right? I can't see anyone giving Hayward a max deal given his age and past injury. Al Horford's deal is more likely...

ever sit down and watch a Magic game start to finish? If so you wouldn't be wanting him for anything of value beyond maybe the bucs pick.

You could be right. I could see it though. There’s no reason to think he’s injury probe( knock on wood). He’s definitely playing like a max guy so far ( even taking the 39 pt game out). He’s such a smart player. I think he’s got 4 more good years at least , maybe a few at this level( health permitting).

Just checked and Hayward will have 10 years of service and is eligible for 35% of the $116 million 2020-21 cap.

Cannot see any team giving him a deal starting at $40.6 million.

Celtics should be kicking the tires on Emeka Okafor as opposed to Joakim Noah. Okafor showed last year he’s got quite a bit left in the tank

Yeah I haven't heard a name yet worth acquiring without costing too much that would be better than what we have. Theis/Kanter/TimeLord/Grant Williams will be just fine for now. Big men are the Runningbacks of the NBA.

Yeah seeing Rob getting better each game has me slamming on the brakes on a trade for a big. I want to see him play more and develop into our legit starting C. Trading for a big now would ruin that.
