Curmudgeon wrote:The second question depends on what you mean by "natural immunity." If it means reinfection of those who have already had covid (and thus are presumed to have some immunity to further infection) that's probably doable if someone is collecting good data on reinfections. If you mean answering the question, why some people just haven't gotten covid, that's impossible. Too many variables and potential intervening causes.

I answered the second question a few posts again.

Getting a little dicey here in NH. Almost 700 new cases yesterday; was under 200 less than 2 weeks ago.

I was in NH a few weeks ago. No one was wearing a single mask anywhere. Employees of restaurants, people in shops or restaurants, anywhere I went I only recall seeing one mask and he had it below his chin. I was a bit surprised as Mass still masks up.

I'd say it's 50/50 when I go out around where I'm at. Even though I'm double V'd, I still do it. I wear it all day in school, so going into a store is no biggie. Wish others thought that way.

Well, the NH state motto is “Live Free or Die” after all, so… you can draw your own conclusions.

I lost a family member to covid and almost lost a second. I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum.

Your participation on this thread has been a disgrace. I thought you were just ignorant, but you really are a troll.

You obviously have no clue what the word empathy means. Hundreds of thousands of people have died from this virus. However, your selfish moral compass only cares about you and your family. Well done. I, on the other hand, only wish you and your family good health. That's because I care about people besides myself. It's a good quality and feeling to know you aren't a selfish pile of crap. It's great that you can say, "my family is fine." However, what would you say to those who have lost loved ones? It's in the millions, so hope you have the time.

No. I asked a question. And you are jumping to conclusions. Now you’re writing paragraphs patting yourself on the back for being the better person. I mean seriously. WTF is wrong with people? It’s a question.

I'm not referring to your last post; I'm referring to your last 20 posts or more. You won't get vaccinated and you say you and your family are fine, which makes me happy as I don't wish anything bad upon anyone. And I'm not patting myself on the back. However, I can do my small part. And I don't require anything. To me, it's common decency. It is truly selfish behavior. I guarantee I could have passed on the vaccination and I would have been fine, as well as my family. But, sometimes things go beyond the self. And that is what is wrong with our country and world. And I am not better than most people, however, I am better than a few. And that my friend is the unfortunate thing.

Honest question for the scientifically illiterate? Because the logistics of such a study is way out of the scope of one person

My quick thoughts include:

Data about named individuals who got vaccines at specific times and were subsequently tested is MUCH more precise than data about ... well, about everybody.

I am suspicious of the premise. Vaccine tests are just supposed to show that they are very beneficial and that they aren't very harmful. Precise numbers about the real-life magnitude or reliability of protection have not been alleged.

What a crappy thing to say/ask someone that has lost a loved one, ddb. I get that there’s a degree of trolling to your posts, but man, relax. And when I say trolling, I don’t mean you aren’t anti-vax, I mean you just enjoy bothering the pro-vax crowd here.

I got the shots (moderna), and personally hate the idea of businesses forcing employees to get it, and dislike even more the government doing their best to do the same. I tend to do my best to respect those that don’t want the shot, even though I disagree. Just because we have different views doesn’t mean we have to provoke each other, and stop being decent humans.

Right now you’re acting like one of those lunatics that try to deny school shootings, and harass the parents who lost their children by claiming it’s fake and they’re part of the lie.

I forget who asked you this, but a couple of pages back after you talked about your child’s reaction to a vaccine, someone asked if this is why you’re also hesitant to wear a mask too (since you’ve stated you don’t/won’t wear one, and obviously it’s not connected to a bad reaction to a vaccine because they have nothing to do with each other). In true troll fashion, you didn’t respond and continued to post random nonsense to instigate. Truth is, you have no reason to not wear a mask, to not social distance (or to not get a vaccine, but if you’re not going to get the vaccine, at least do the other things instead of being a pile of trash of a person).

No. Ex took it too far with bashing and name calling so I’ll continue to post things and ask questions. If you don’t like it, block me or don’t read it.

I have empathy, and I care about all of mankind by the way. I asked a simple, valid question which still hasn’t been answered. I wanted to know if the person died OF Covid or WITH Covid. Major difference and that’s all I was wondering. If it was addressed I would have immediately followed that up with my condolences.

My condolences either way. Nobody wants anyone to die.
