Trendon Watford would be a good pickup for the Celtics on the same Brissett and Banton deals.

Boston Globe story had this piece of info in it

A source said the Celtics will receive 2024 and 2028 second-round picks from Dallas, and a 2025 second-round pick swap.

This makes no sense. Celtics got Mavs' 2024 2nd round pick in a draft day trade with the Kings when they traded down from #34.

Sacramento owns Mavs' 2028 2nd round pick. Dallas has no additional 2nd round picks from other teams, so where are those picks coming from? Are Spurs giving those picks in exchange for 2030 1st round pick swap with the Mavs? Are Mavs getting that 2028 2nd round pick back in that Holmes deal that is yet to be completed?

So many questions, but Globe's info is off.

Walsh can do a lot of dirty work. But he maybe unplayable on offense unless a lot of improvement between now and then

I'm not as doom and gloom about the upcoming season, but it definitely feels like we were lied to about the whole green light thing.

This is where Im confused. If they really wanted to stay under the apron and were cutting costs the why flip a second down the road that you know wont be as high? Second rounders dont usually amount to much yet this team has roster spots and two ways they need to fill with slim pickings left. Why not take another flyer on a some what deeper draft in terms of unknowns? At the momentthey have very little big man nd shooting depth.

Brogdon/White/Rob/Pritchard/Kornet/Chamapganie to POR for Dame and his pal Nurkic. Can also take Nassir Little back into the Grant TPE.

Dame
Brown
Tatum / Little
Porzingis
Horford / Nurkic

Any vet PGs out there for the minimum still?

Not really. Ish Smith and Kendrick Nunn - that's about it.

Perhaps we could get Mike James from overseas to sign for the minimum..

I'll actually take ish was with Denver last year and I think the most teams played for break in case and locker room voice for young players like JD

What team needs cap space to give the Celtics a player with their new $6.2 million TPE?

Adam Himmelsbach said that they intend to keep Brogs. Unless we get a Dame trade I believe he stays.

Philly signed Bamba for the min. Hard to believe he wouldnt be a upgrade over Kornet. So far we signed two non shooters, drafted a guy who can’t shoot, and traded moved on from one of the teams best outside shooters. Brad knows who the coach is, right?

Bamba sucks. He's a terrible NBA player. He was just drafted high because of measurables so everyone thinks they can fix him. Kornet is a better player, Bamba is that bad.

As presently constituted the Celtics will be lucky to finish ahead of Orlando, a team that owned them last year.

With the depth the way it is, I don't see how it's feasible to trade 3 or 4 players for Dame. It makes more sense to trade Brogdon for 2 or 3 players.

Sportract has us 3.8 under the apron, I would guess Brad signs two more mins to fill out roster and doesnt use the mid unless he wants to move on from Kornet/Charlemaign/other.

What is it???

A little over $6 million.

Bobby Marks' whiteboard photo linked above was slightly inaccurate in some way, as he claimed that $6.2 million was half of $12.2 million.
