I felt like the Celtics would have to move up in the draft to get Fleming or Clayton Jr. I see both of them going way before 28.

It looks like Saraf and Gonzalez are both much bigger than their listed heights. Gonzalez has almost 6'11" wingspan too.

If those 6 international players stick in the 1st round anything is possible with players falling to the C's. If the Yang kid can slip into the 1st that would be even better.

I'd still attach the 28th pick if that's what it takes to move Jrue.

Get a decent pick in the 2nd with that trade partner and draft Broome and Proctor.

Not that it should totally dictate things, but worth noting that moving up worsens their financial struggles. Just using ORL as an example with #16 because some have wanted to trade Hauser for that, which I don't think is realistic for them but just to run with it... the $16 pick will sign for $1,638,480 more than the #28 pick ($4,422,360 vs. $2,783,880). Some are suggesting trading Hauser/Jrue/KP for picks outright too. The only reason we're trading those guys is to duck the 2nd apron or potentially the tax - they aren't basketball motivated trades. So make sure to keep in mind the salary of the picks in any of those trades.

Ok, I'm only 21 seconds into this vid lol. But I'm getting vibes that he's a cross (pun intended) between Hauser and Kispert.

Kispert because the headband and the hairdo. Hauser because he's taller than Kispert..height-wise he's more like Hauser. But he has the stocky build that's more like Kispert.

He's 24 yrs old though..

I see a little Max Strus.

Looks like he spent two years at UMass, so Brad is probably very familiar.

This is the kind of digging for prospects that I like to see from Brad.

Looks like a nice prospect to pick up after the draft. Someone's gotta tell Cross that #33 is retired in Boston though

Potential Sam replacement to get another shooter? Cross is at that age where he won't need as much development if his role is mainly as a specialist to give a few minutes on the offensive end.

If Sam needs is moved for financial reasons, I like the idea of packaging him and 28 to move up enough spots to a team looking for an established shooter, then take Fleming. Not sure what team in that range is willing to move down though.

And then I watched the new Shaq series - and there he is
The Universe has spoken - we will get Dink Pate in the draft
This means we will trade down to the 50s or so

Idea from the T&T board of MIN moving #17 for a future pick. I suggested our pick next year. With Tatum out, depending on what potential cost cutting moves we make, it's probably conceivable we're picking mid 1st next year. Without Tatum but if we keep Brown/White/Pritchard/Hauser, re-sign Horford and Kornet, and get back some semi-useful pieces for Jrue and/or KP that shed enough to get below the 2nd apron, I could see us picking in that range next year. Getting that guy now means he has a year of development in a Tatum-less year to build off once he's back. Many like the idea of moving up, so proposing it as an idea.

I think that is a fair concern. But one thing some need to realize is that when you play for a team like North Carolina or a Duke. Everyone wants to be the spa, so sometimes it's hard to stand out.

Using one example was Patrick. Williams didn't even start for florida state before he went top five.

So certainly one has to consider what you said. But since we are not likely contending next year, one good developmental year could improve him and help and reach his ceiling. And of course, it always matters. Who else is available

This is a draft where there is one clear top pick and then everyone else. The #30 pick could easily wind up being as good as the #3 pick. So I don't see the value in moving up unless you have spotted a real sleeper. And today there are very few sleepers. You aren't going to get a Ginobili with #57 or a Jokic with #41.
