Klay Thompson is not the same player he was. It’s ok. I still feel denver is better.

I mean... Poole is the worst contract in the NBA. Klay is an icon, but not really that good anymore. CP3 was way overpaid a $30M and it made perfect sense to let him go after paying him a year to get off of Poole's money.

You can criticize him for not adding and extending Steph's window, so far, but those moves listed hardly warrant much criticism IMO

Yeah in isolation they aren't bad, the worst part is they gave up a pick for Poole with nothing to show but space.

Who knows what they spend in future years, but between salary and tax giving up that pick for Poole might well have saved them like half a billion dollars, FWIW

So are the sixers better than the Knicks with the addition of PG?

It's a toss up until the real games begin. With the trophy in the east this year, I think it's going to be bloodbath. Guys like Embiid, Butler, and now Brunson and co. must get hungrier every passing year. Celtics are staying the course. Bring on the pretenders!

Yeah that's a good point - can't remember when the GM change happened there and obviously declining players and money issues is tough to overcome. OTOH tough that they haven't made many good moves in the midst of it.

Cost savings and last year's draft I suppose are the counter points there.

We are still number 1 in the east. Just hope we still have the hunger and don’t get complacent. Let’s go back to back!!!!!!

No, they are the Sixers.

They may be formidable when their Big 3 are healthy. Two of their Big 3 are Embiid and George, though.
