You can sign a player to max. two 10 day contracts, than you have to decide to sign him for season or not.

Talking about helping teams out of tax, imo Philly will do that, no need to go into contest with them.

I know, but I was expecting him to be re-signed to a multi-year unguaranteed deal like Johnson and Babb last season. The open roster spot is something I expect to be utilized, that's all.

In other (non BOOGIE related) news, the part of Lowe’s piece where he said “The Magic will look to move little side pieces like Andrew Nicholson and Maurice Harkless, though it wouldn’t be a shocker if a front office that might be in some danger searches for something juicier.” Got me pretty excited. Don’t know what in the heck they could want for a 21 year old SF they’ve done everything in their power to bury on a bench of other 20 something year olds. But you bet if I was Danny I’d be asking that question. He still has a lot of upside, athletic wing that is one of the better young defenders that actually has skills in the midrange and in selective iso situation that shot close to 40% from 3 last season. No idea why JV ignored his existence, like I get Tobias is clearly better right now but the team is bad, why not play him more.

Anyways, HotSportsTake “How could ya be Mo Harklesssss!” (Kanye Voice)

Harkless would be a great pickup..

BTW, Herald claiming that a team 'in the western conference mix' has asked about Gerald Wallace..

My guess is Portland. They really need wing depth.

Thomas Robinson and Dorrell Wright for Gerald works in ESPN's trade machine.. The kind of small trade I could see a team talking themselves into, especially if we gave them a 1st. The MIN pick is theirs to have..

"in the western Conference mix" could be a bubble team like New Orleans ...

New Orleans really can't trade anything other than Gordon and he's been playing better lately and staying healthy (knock on Wood). I hope they make the playoffs over the Clippers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Doc also inquired about Gerald lol. Don't know if they hate Hawes' contract, I for one Think he's ugly and got a punchable face, if they would like to find a 3rd team that can take him,i'm happy to give them Gerald.

I'd trade Wallace for Eric Gordon, he seems to be healthy (just knocked my desk) and was once a top prospect..

If it's not Portland (their board hates the idea), I could see Golden State inquiring- Wallace/Bass for David Lee helps them out with the luxury tax.. We could also theoretically take Iguodala with our TPE and send them Crowder; though I don't think they want to mess with their chemistry at all, and a Lee trade would be a risk anyway, they also have to balance short and longterm considerations..

Really hope we land Moe Harkless.. still only 21. So strange that he got buried on the bench of a lottery team.

Is both Sullinger and Olynyk off the table?

Latest from Stein is that Dragic's people have told PHO he isn't going to re-sign so he's the one most likely to get dealt.

EDIT: Woj, btw, citing USAToday as first to report the above.

Wow, so much for IT. Unless we deal Bradley/Bass for both? Bledsoe/Bradley would be a sick backcourt, and a more traditional one.

Dragic's agent (Bill Duffy) actually gave the Suns a list of teams he wants to be traded to- the Lakers, Knicks and Heat are his top choices.

Sh*t news for us in free agency that those are the typical most desired destinations (plus Phoenix, ironically). If I'm Phoenix I trade him to Utah for Kanter and tell him to go f*ck himself.

Duffy is Rondo's agent, by the way.. so this is the ugly divorce we avoided.

How about this deal for IT?

Isaiah Thomas, Miles Plumlee, Ryan McDonough, Gerald Green, 2015 Suns 1st rd pick, and LAL first rd pick for Brandon Bass, Tyler Zeller, Danny Ainge and Jared Sullinger?

Throw in cap fillers to make salaries fit if they don't work.

IT has the reputation, if I'm not mistaken, of offensive black hole. Maybe why the Kings looked better with Darren Collison as a replacement.

Color me indifferent, if not opposed.
