Ainge apparently refused to put Rozier in trade talks, so I'd image that he will go pretty high on matching any offers.

If Terry goes too high though, Ainge is stone cold and will pack his bag for him.

Rozier’s play is making Ainge’s decision on Marcus Smart easier and easier

He got a chance because Kyrie is injured. He's a good starter on a good team because he's... really genuinely good.

In general people overestimate what it takes to be a starter. Very few teams, if any, have five meaningfully above average players starting. And you just don't need to to be a darned good team.

If Terry's your best starter, then yeah, your team is probably bad. If Terry's your worst starter, your team is probably pretty good. Fill in the middle how you feel.

He do what good backup do when starter cant play but if you played with him as a starter whole season you would be much lower in RS.

Ehh this is kind of a take from the past. Terry was a 10th man on this squad a year ago. That guy or the one who started the season and the one you see today aren't the same dude and if you've followed his career arc at all it's a safe bet that his development hasn't peaked yet. Good starter/good team and all that doesn't mean much to me, there is an overabundance of good guards in todays league but this I can tell you T-Rosito is trending towards a guy who is going to get paid starter money which honestly isn't great for us.

So hopefully Danny isn't tempted into trading Rozier for a mid to late lottery pick...

I don't know if not moving Terry for a Mid Lottery selection is the consensus opinion here, but a Mid Lottery Pick in this Draft for Rozier - yeah, you make that deal, the vast majority of the time... post your opinion to the GB or TB, you will be throttled - there are some there who didn't think Rozier even warranted a First Rounder. So, opinions of Real GMers vary greatly and don't truly reflect NBA reality whatever it is. I think if you could move Rozier in a Draft deal for the "next Al Horford" - Wendell Carter, you do it, but so many projections have him going 6th, so probably a long shot on that front, but if any of the Bamba, Carter, Porter and I'll include Young (shooting/passing/longer cost-controlled than Rozier) and Mikal Bridges, who seems like an Ainge type of player are available, then safe to trade Terry.

The league values TRo--as do the C's. A midrounder in any draft is still a bit of a crap shoot. And the C's can't afford to get any younger, losing especially any experience from the young studs they do play. They are looking for championships, starting, realistically, next year. Yet another draft pick is the last thing the C's need.

They do need another good big, but I'm still guessing on a Kyrie-based trade for that.

I don’t think Terry has come close to making out on his talent. The quickness and the hops are there and the skill is rapidly catching up. If he learns to get easy shots for others - which never happens for a lot of very good players - he could become a borderline all star some day.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He hasn't been consistent, especially in road playoffs games.

But he's playing pretty well now and if he continues to improve, it's inconceivable that teams won't throw money at him a year from now.

He hasn't shown that he's the shot maker that Kyrie is but coming off injury, who knows if Kyrie will be as good as he has been?

After next season, Kyrie is probably going to opt out (instead of taking just $22 million for 2019-2020 season) and look for a max deal.

So you going to pay Kyrie at least $30 million starting in 2019-2020 and also Terry as much as $20 million?

If Kyrie gets his 33-35 minutes next season, maybe the Celtics can keep Rozier under 20 minutes to depress his stats. But as well as he plays how are the Celtics going to deny him the 26 minutes he averaged this past regular season? And he may not get 36.5 MPG in future playoffs with Kyrie playing but can they cut his minutes too far back?
