I’d like to see us catch up with Toronto and Milwaukee but they have the two best players in the east and they may dominate wire to wire. Indiana could surge if they make the right tweak by trade - need to see where Beal and Kemba go.
We can knock out both in the playoffs if everything is clicking, but they’re built to win a lot of regular season games.
Philly isn’t ready unless they get major internal improvement.

Yeah, that's strange. It almost feels like they (Fultz's camp) are trying to justify this whole mess with a neurological reason caused by repetition of exercises instead of trauma (what Caveman posted, i.e. a possible bike accident) so it can be covered by insurance and/or dispute a future voided contract .
I just hope the kid can turn it around.

I talked to a neurologist I'm close with about this last night. She said that the team doctor/any specialist would have picked up on TOS symptoms a long time ago. She didn't go as far as to say he's being disingenuous in whatever capacity but that seems to be the case here.
She also said that if he really has TOS, she doesn't see him playing basketball at a high level for much longer after the recovery/surgery.

One of the few things I called right in the summer. Horrible, horrible offseason for them. Let go of their defense, signed Melo, blech. They're never sniffing a chance at a title again with that group and CP3's contract.
I just hope they can turn it around enough to pass all the teams we have picks for in the standings. They really need to go all in with trying to unload Brandon Knight and future picks to bring back a couple guys for the bench. Then hope for a good buyout guy beyond that. Heck, desperate as they are, I wouldn't be shocked to see JR Smith walk thru that door...

I imagine now we can breathe and reel off a 10 game win streak in relative media quiet because I think everyone is going to start focusing their attention on the Rockets.
Chemistry and team psychology are a fragile thing. Already they have to deal with regular season malaise that previous year Conference Finals team always have, but I think the way they got knocked out is weighing on them.
I think the rest of the roster is 1) Shook that they missed that many 3’s and might start questioning the game plan 2) wary of CP3’s injury history and don’t want to unnecessarily risk his health in the reg szn and 3) I think the Rockets and the rest of the league are less scared of Harden in the playoffs and don’t think his game consistently works on the biggest stages when refs swallow their whistles.
Hey maybe go after Zion Houston?

Houston are just a terrible franchise. Yes, McGrady and Yao were injuried and it was bad luck for them...but Morey is an overrated GM, CP3 is a bit** and Harden is awful to watch.
F*** them.

Obviously a different sport, demand on the shoulder but 3-6 weeks seems conservative for an issue that’s been around for 12 months or so.
Two years after diagnosed? Yikes!
From what Ive seen in baseball, its one of the worse injuries to have. It destroyed the careers of Matt Harvey, Phil Hughes and Chris Carpenter and was the final nail in the coffin to Josh Becketts career, amongst many others. The 3-6 week time frame does not jive with what Ive seen with baseball players.
In basketball, the only guy Ive seen with it was Ben Uzoh— he was a fringe NBA player and the injury effectively ended his career.
If he has this, 3-6 weeks seems overly ambitious. Its also strange to me that no doctor was attached to his diagnosis— the Sixers have always referenced the specific source in the past and its strange that they shifted course here.
That's because Fultz and his agent found the diagnosis on their own. I'm assuming the Sixers have nothing to do with this and probably disagree considering they were playing him since the end of last season.

Call me crazy, but I think Rondo helped take a lot of wind out of their sails. I think Chris Paul hasn't been himself this season because he's too busy trying to prove Rondo wrong after being called out for being a **** person. CP3 probably walking on eggshells during practice and games, trying to be nice to his teammates.

I've been telling people on here for years that the post Hakeem Rockets franchise is a complete joke and a disgrace to basketball. They ruined Yao's career, couldn't do **** with Mcgrady and will fail with Harden. Morey is a **** hack who probably didn't do **** in his time with us.
Incredibly happy people are opening their eyes, but I'm sure Edug or some random person will tell me they have the best chance to beat the Warriors because they took them seven when the Warriors were barely putting in the effort to win.
Miss me with that noise. ****. Houston.

Is George Hill any good on D anymore? Bucks didn't trade anyone good, but the protections on that pick starting looking slight as time goes by:
Solidifies their bench guard play, though.
Good trade for CLE. JR & KLove up next.
MIL added Smith for Dekker now. I like that move too. Shooting big fits them good, then he expires.
