Watching Tatum, he really doesn’t know how to box out anyone for a rebound. Still taking silly tough fade aways, and is addicted to the euro step. Wish he just straight up jump for those jumpers, and go strong to the hoop.

The Celtics aren't in trouble there shouldn't be any cause for panic. We were up 3-0 and hadn't lost a game in over a calendar month. We're allowed to lose. Just steady the ship and grind one out on Monday.

We found out last night how difficult it is to win 4 straight against a single opponent, it'll be even more difficult for Dallas to win 4 straight against us.

Too much arrogance when it comes to this series imo. Right now it's not 3-0, it's 3-1. It's no longer unthinkable that the macvs could come back to win. I'm really hoping the players take this seriously, but they seem way too relaxed about it

It's literally never been done. It's not just unthinkable, it's improbable.

Except now it’s 3-1, not 3-0.

3-1 has been conquered multiple times. Tons of teams have won 3 in a row. 4-5 teams have won 4 in a row after being down 2-0.

Celtics will likely still win this series, but it’s still not over. Lose game five and it’s anyone’s series.

That's not how it works friend.

Even still. Done 13 times in 70 years doesn't impress me at all.

Are you aware that the Celtics haven't lost 3 in a row all year? That until last night they hadn't lost to Dallas all year?

That it would require 2 loses at time when they only lost 4 times at home all regular season?

Brown and Tatum had 25 points combined. Is that happening again?

But hey sometimes in the playoffs he can get you 17 pts, 6/23 from the field, 8 assists on 5 turnovers so he’s top 5.

Brad better be on the phone, looking to trade Tatum+picks+additional sweetener for actual offensive star players, like Devin Booker.

There's a bigger chance the Earth gets hit by an asteroid than Brad trading Jayson Tatum.

Especially for a WORSE player like Booker.

I think that’s a problem. Jrue is getting old, Horford is a geriatric and White will be gradually exiting his prime soon. Porzingis is perennially injured.

We will need our best players to take scoring matters into their own hands our next playoffs as Brown can’t do it alone. He’s very good but he’s a second option.

Many people in the NBA community subscribe to some fallacious notion that Tatum is top 7. Now’s the time to get on the phone before other teams come to their senses.

Great take. So basically Jaylen Brown single handedly carried this team of old, injured and trash players to a historic season,64 wins and within 1 game of a championship? Seems like he should surely be winning league MVP and be first team All-NBA if that's the case.

But sure, let's go get Booker instead ... he's brought so many titles to Phoenix.

Poor Booker never had the opportunity to half ass his way to the finals with a supporting cast of Brown, Jrue, White, Porzingis and was instead thrusted into poorly constructed, aging rosters in languishing systems.

Give Booker the keys to the Ferrari and teams forfeit before the games even begin.

Booker is a substantially better scorer, and a better facilitator.

Yeah sure he’s not as versatile defensively as Tatum but that’s been overstated tremendously by Celtic stans anyways.

Maybe if we're lucky we could possibly trade for Ben Simmons.

I’m higher on Brown than most and I think he will go off in G5. He’s overall been stupidly locked in this playoffs while maintaining a zen-like calmness. I’m pretty confident with the ball in his hands this playoffs, and that wasn’t the case his prior seasons.

I can also sense a Derrick White masterclass in G5.

I don’t have any faith in Tatum though, I already know he’s about to lay another egg on the biggest stage. If Kyrie and Luka go off not sure it will be enough, but let’s hope that’s not the case.

In the modern NBA where there aren’t really point guards and playbooks, it seems like they treat every possession the same no matter the circumstance. High screen, drive and kick, hope for an open or semi contested three and then just run it again and let the law of averages work things in your favor.

But when players are not moving, you’re so less able to misdirect the defense and get a high percentage shot when you really just need to score and don’t really need a 3 or to play the math game. And our system has really stagnated at this moment in the series.

I think everyone should read this post again because it's spot on.

Yeah I agree. Seemed like KG was able to get a nice easy 16footer in those situations. This team…usually gets great D in those times but often relies on drive and kick which statistically gets you a good shot, but if you miss a few of those the game can get away from you. I see the Tatum/ Horford pick and pop, which Horford shooting a three as one of this teams go to plays when they need a bucket.

We always use the word 'stagnation' but it seems to me that with our team's offense, stagnation is what happens when we can't break through the perimeter defense. Almost all our good shots come from compromising the perimeter defense first. If we can't do that, our guys stand around taking turns trying to create that initial advantage and all our shooters stay home in anticipation of it happening. And what that looks like on-court is five guys standing around waiting for the defense to bend. Which is what happened a LOT last night when Dallas stood us up on the perimeter.

Dallas won on the defensive side. They started pushing the pace at the end of game 3 and won 5 straight quarters.

The only way to combat this is to make your shots. I refuse to believe the Celtics will have 4 straight bad shooting games.

Also. **** rebound.

Anyone else sick of watching Hauser getting abused on every defensive possession? And for the love of God, why is Joe ok with him guarding Luka? He's too small and too weak. Cool, he can make you a few treys but when he's giving up a bucket at a much higher rate, he's hurting the team on the scoreboard. Here's a novel idea Joe, give Brissett some of those minutes and see what he can do. Can't be any worse.

Brown and Tatum are inching toward having to play all 48 minutes.

Return to Boston Celtics
