Here is a nice piece using some of the new SportVue data, looking at spacing created by different lineups. Not a ton here beyond a few examples and laying out the concept, but one of the Lopez-Young-Johnson lineups ends up bottom five in terms of total offensive spacing. Here are the bottom 5 lineups (with the lowest first):
Wizards: John Wall, Garrett Temple, Paul Pierce, Nene Hilario, Marcin Gortat
Timberwolves: Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin, Andrew Wiggins, Thaddeus Young, Nikola Pekovic
Nets: Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Markel Brown, Thaddeus Young, Brook Lopez
Pistons: Brandon Jennings, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Singler, Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond
Hornets: Kemba Walker, Gerald Henderson, Lance Stephenson, Cody Zeller, Al Jefferson

Though I'm sure it's a function of not only shooting but how much a team with an interior scorer can drag people inside for offensive shots.
Does also note the obvious in how poor a floor spacer Shane Larking is. I think they actually see a good amount of Donald Sloan at PG is my guess.
Sloan is the best defender of the bunch but I don't think he solves any of their spacing problems. He's been pretty putrid from deep and his teams have always been much worse offensively and shooting-wise when he is on the floor. As bad as Larkin is, he's the only one with the quickness to be a consistent threat to get in the lane (their biggest loss with the departure of D-Will's slick crossover + range shooting threat), though he's pretty terrible once he gets there.
