Yeah I've been trying to find someone with legit info there. You'd think Memphis with everything they have at stake would have hung onto Joerger if he was Conley's guy. At least until he resigned, then move on after if they really wanted to go in a different direction.

Joerger wanted out, Memphis didn't want to get rid of him.

Danny was on 98.5 the other day talking about acquiring a rim specialist. He also at another point said he would be willing to overpay potentially to bring in a guy. I may be reading too far into the tea leaves but these comments sound "Whiteside-y". In one sense Whiteside does fit from the standpoint of previous castoff with a chip on his shoulder. Plays with an edge. Fits the age range of the team and would certainly mark to the rest of the league that we are serious about competing.

Having said that. I kinda feel like the guy is a boob. So concerned with chasing block numbers, I'm not sure if he is disciplined enough to stay within our team concept. Plus, he can't pass for ****. We've been going back and forth on this guy in this forum for a while now. Still undecided.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

1st thing I thought was Whiteside. He is a poor one on one defender no doubt. Jonas and Big Al ate him up pretty good. He's young and can get better on offense and defense though. I think if Brad can make him disciplined on D he's a defensive force. Also would be nice to have a guy that you can throw an Alley too. I guess the question is will he get paid and be a bum.

He has at least said the right things about that (at least once he did anyway). I was reading on Hoopshype where he stated that he was looking forward to having the security to train better during the offseason. The money and the security would afford him the opportunity to utilize more professional and even some creative ways to train in the offseason to help him improve his game. I respect that actually. This is a guy that who was drafted by Sacramento 6 years ago. He's spent some time in the D-League. Really hasn't caught on anywhere until last year. I can imagine that he's had to fight a bit to get here and to put himself in a position to finally earn some security for him and his family. I can't even hate on him for wanting to get as much as he can. That said, this guy is so concerned by his own numbers. How many rebounds per game, blocks per game. I just don't know that he gets it.

Garnett is like my spirit animal. He’s my favorite player ever. Every guy wants him on their team, but nobody wants to face him. He’s so intense. The way he approaches the game is unreal.
You should see my closet back home in Australia. I’ve got so many Celts jerseys it’s ridiculous. Pierce, Rondo, Bird, Garnett, Ray Allen. I’m hoping to add a Durant one in the future. Come on, KD! You’ll love it, bro.
BUT IS HE FRIENDS WITH KEVIN DURANT?!

I'm Australian and I'm embarrassed by this guy, and now I find out he's a Celtics fan?

Here are two approaches to pitch Durant on the Celtcs, I agree with Thorntons pitch, talking about history, banners and that stuff won't fly with Durant. Todays generation of players doesn't care about that (at least until they get to play in Boston) but more about being THE guy, winning and things like that.

Stevens pitch to free agents

Jerry Thorntons pitch to Durant

That whole Article was so relatable, bar the being a tennis star thing  . Especially the whole "got into the NBA and Celtics through video games at first" thing and having to rely on streams with the worst internet possible at times.

". I’m trying not to scream during every possession, so I’m doing that thing where you just whisper to yourself like a crazy person.

Whispering, like: “Set the pick.… Come on, mate. Set the pick!”

When Isaiah hit the crazy off-balance three from the corner, that was it. I went mental. The Garden was going crazy, and I was jumping around my hotel room in the dark, celebrating by myself.

When the game was over, I stayed up looking at stats and recaps for another hour. I was jacked. I think I ended up falling asleep at like 4 a.m."

This is so me, I don't realise how crazy I must look at night sometimes

In NBA terms, he is like some of the worst parts of Cousins, Westbrook and Howard - but in a tennis player. Young, arrogant, entitled, little self awareness etc...

Sounds more like a dream deferred.

I'll be happy if he doesn't end up in LA or Miami.

I'm thinking Conley to SAS could happen. Parker's not getting younger, and he would be perfect there. Assuming they don't get KD. I like Joerger and Conley, both. Maybe they could turn Sac around if it did. Either way, Conley re-upping in MEM chances had to have gotten lower with the deadline trades and losing the coach. That pick... 8-)

I had never considered SAS for Conley. He is a good fit. I wonder if they can make the money right ?

I didn't hear it, but tweets going around saying Wyc on the radio all but saying we will trade the pick

I just hope we don't do something stupid if we get pick 1 or 2 and try to go all in before we're ready. No use giving a ransom for Jimmy Butler and hoping that will be enough for KD

I think if its pick 3 or later, a trade with Chicago becomes extremely likely

What do you guys think about Bitchsmack Biyombo? Was disappointed Raps poached him so cheap last off season. Doubt he wants to go back to back up Val.

This is a good point. Could start for some team next season and get paid upwards of 14M per. I thought he's 28+. Only turning 24 apparently. This guy's not done developing. Don't expect much of an offense from him but he could be the rim protector we've been craving for. Could easily replace Sully's rebounding but not so much the BBIQ.

I liked him last year during FA. That extra $5 million we used on David Lee should have went to this guy. Smh.
