Connected NBA guy just tweeted about something about "just give the trophy now" to Golden State....

Could be a troll job, could be Crawford related, could be Barnes related....or it could mean that the apolapyse just descended down upon the NBA....

Why do do people keep saying that? Of course it can happen. I mean who wouldn't want to be a main player on a team that will win 5 rings.

I just don't believe he'd do it. Obviously I could be wrong, but we'll see.

Anderson, former Celtic

Why would he know anything?

Honestly after the back and forth with Horford I won't believe any speculation until its official or its a woj bomb. I still believe Durant is coming to Boston. Positive vibes til I hear otherwise. It's all about 18!!!

Even Woj flip flopped within the span of 4mins last night.

My guess is that he REALLY wants to sign with the Cs for all the reasons stated:
-great coach/system
-great vibe (players play hard and love bball)
-gets to be a true #1
-gets to be part of Celtic-lore
-goes to a team with money and chips
etc...

HOWEVER, I think he stays in OKC one more year simply to give it another run with the team there. I actually think he has no long term commitment but doesn't want to leave on the note of blowing a 3-1 series lead. I think that trading Ibaka was a bad move and may have made KD question going for one more run, but at the end of the day, leaving after they were so close to the Finals just feels wrong and my guess is that when push comes to shove he doesn't want to leave like that.

Next year is a different story. If OKC fails to make it to the Finals, I think he leaves without a second thought, and the fanbase will have little to hold against him at that point.

KD just feels like that kind of guy to me. I think he really does want a fresh start, but I don't think he wants to leave OKC on such a bad note....

People think he can't be the alpha there but he most definitely can. Steph has the least amount of respect I've ever seen a superstar get.

If Durant signs in Boston then we win the ship within 2 years. Count on it.

What you're saying is possible. Durant seems like a loyal guy, but who knows, especially if he's got the vibe Westbrook is leaving next season.

Well the good thing if KD goes to GSW is the price of Jimmy Butler just went on sale.

If KD goes to GSW and Chicago wants Ainge to overpay for Butler in Ainge's shoes, I say go fly a kite in less diplomatic terms.

At that point Boston just has to focus on being the clear 2nd best team in the EC and praying that key players on Cleveland and GSW get hurt.

If the Celtics get bad news tonight, Celtics still have a chance to win a title without KD....Ainge just needs luck and to make a few really good moves sooner before the trading deadline.

Durant would basically be joining Curry's team in GSW. Yeah, he'll win rings, but he won't be the main man.

Once again with Papi retiring and Brady nearing his end, Durant can be the king of Boston in no time at all, come here and be a legend Kevin!

This is the new NBA. I mean why wouldn't he play there? It would be a blast plus he is guaranteed 5 rings.

True, Durant's circle is somewhat small and the most legit journalist out there(Woj) hasn't tweeted ****, so Anderson is looking for attention.

No time to panic if KD does not pick the Celtics. It has always been a longshot but one worth taking.

Return to Boston Celtics
