Not when you have a roster like the Cs have and the talent that they will add to it. No the draft isn't a crap shoot for this Celtics team. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Talented teams can't draft busts? Darko says hi

That is ridiculous.

Umm, there's much to take from that match up! 8-)

That's a really neat comparison; I dig it.

Agree with all of this. Lavar is a **** LA homer clown who pisses me off more and more daily, but the Jackson stuff worries me way more, and neither issue would stop me from taking either player at BPA.

Until he starts ripping half the Celtics organization if things don't go his way. I agree that the Jackson stuff is cause for concern and Lonzo himself appears to be clean as a whistle but man. His dad is toxic with a capital T and with a team and locker room like ours I want no part of that ass clown. I had him behind Fultz and Jackson to begin with but I don't touch him in the top 10 now if at all

I know this is just your personal opinion, but it is still such a crazy train of thought. Ball is a transformational talent, one of four players in this draft with super star potential, to say that you wouldn't take him in your top ten is just irrational. Ainge can't think this way, these GM's need to be able to cut through the noise, that's what they are paid to do. It would be worse if Ball had a crazy posse (sorry, if this term is racially charged,) of hangers on that was dragging him down. No, he just has an over the top father. Once Ball gets drafted, and if the organization he goes to is professional enough, than all of this will slide into the past and Lavar will move on to pumping up his next two sons.

Lonzo would probably be best served by not going to the Lakers due to all the pressures and the proximity to his father, and frankly I don't know the organizational strength of the Lakers at this point. For the most part this is much to do about nothing. The media really plays it all up and I doubt it will be a big factor. Ainge has a way of minimizing distractions, as does Brad, I doubt they would let Lavar become a distraction for his son; and if Lavar is a good father, which aside from all of the histrionics, he likely is, he would do nothing that interferes with his son being a star in this league. I worry more about Lonzo's weird shot than anything having to do with his overenthusiastic father.

If he doesn't rebuild that shot completely he's going to get it blocked 50 percent of the time.

Fox is a ball of quick twitch muscle. I've never seen someone shift side to side as quickly and as effortlessly as he does.

The majority of Ball's passes are perfect. Not great. Perfect.

It's crazy to watch.

He just has the height advantage. Leaf is the better all-around player.

Not super impressed with Ball this game.

Kentucky has the better all around team.

Monk and Fox are fantastic

WTF was that final shot by Ball? No awareness there at the end of the half. First he got worked on D & then hoisted up a half court shot with 3 seconds still on the clock.

I love Ball but this is my main concern with him. He can't stay in front of Fox.

Now granted Fox is a lightning in the bottle quick type G, but Fox is dominating the battle at this moment.

Fox been the best player on the court so far. Lonzo needs to be better in the 2nd half despite some amazing passing. Fox would torch the other top PGs in this draft like Fultz and Smith JR too, so I can't judge him too much defensively, but he does need to be better there.

Yup, and they lead to wide open looks and ridiculous true shooting percentage...he could probably even make Marcus Smart shoot above 40%.

Generational vision and passing...I have never seen better.

To be fair, Fox will be one of the 3 quickest guards in the game next year.

It's on every pass, too. If it's a pass to another guy, it sets him up perfectly to swing it again. His placement is just ridiculous.

anyone ready to take Fox over Ball yet? :)

honestly Jackson and Fultz have been my top two for quite some time. I don't trust Ball's frame or quickness (or feel that a pass-first PG is our biggest need).

This. No one else in the Stud top 4 stays in front of him most likely. Maybe Josh Jackson, but I don't really know how he defends small and quick guys so I'm not sure.

A game is starting to break out here with UCLA-UK. Guys making big shots. I have the feeling Philly is going to end up with Monk and they are gonna get real scary real soon.
