Same and he sucked all of the last year except for 1.5 playoff rounds that this team isn't getting to anyways.

Rondo **** sucks and signing him is a mistake for any team that doesn't have LeBron to keep that little bitch in line.
Jesus. Did he rob you?

I don't get all the Rondo hate. He was amazing when he was here. He didn't force his way out, we wanted to rebuild and traded him. People have said hes not good anymore for years but he just won a title and was probably the 3rd best player on the team in the finals. I've never understood the hate.

He was a total a-hole on the way out here and was a total a-hole in Dallas when he got there. Good player and interesting dude, he seems to developed into a guy who really likes working with young players and will probably make a good College coach when he retires. But he is only really willing to play his way. He has gotten a little better with taking wide open 3's and makes them at an acceptable clip but the defensive ability is gone.

I don't think the guy has played for the same coach two years in a row since Doc Rivers left Boston.

Would Hayward be willing to go to Golden State? How about Hayward (at $25M), Langford, rights to Nesmith for Wiggins, rights to Wiseman.

Lux Tax teams can't complete a sign and trade.

Yeah they can, just need to stay under the hard cap (138M) but for Golden State it's basically impossible to stay under the hard cap with their contracts.

I guess I consider an apron team just an apron team. A lux tax team is a lux tax team.

Just listened to sports talk radio while taking my son to soccer and the guys were actually coherent and informed. Sort of shocked. They agree that time favors the Celtics and that Ainge has leverage he’s trying to use. Only way they blame him is if he overplays his hand and we end up with nothing. I’m with them.

I don't like the Knicks lingering with so much cap space...

Danny holding out for more from Indy may bite hime.

Rumor is NY offering more money less years.

Tibs likes Hayward and has coached in in Olympic ball.

New York is not terrible for Hayward for his "brand" especially as he augments his NBA career with his esports stuff.

Danny waits too long I bet Hayward goes to NY on a 3/90 deal versus 4/100 Pacers.

We will see, but Danny thinks he is a great negotiator, most of the league thinks he is a d&ck

FVV got the Brogdon contract? Sweet, well-earned deal for an undrafted player.

This is 3 people, operating in good faith, where there really isnt a deal. Someone is going to have to make a bad deal to get this done.

There is no deal here IMO unless you can convince Boston that turner is a positive asset that will improve the Team materially.

Or

Have Indiana give up a budding high end scorer

Or

Hayward takes a massive pay cut to sign with Indy.

I think out of the 3, Boston has the most leverage. Hayward loses leverage when each team with capspace left spends money. He's not leaving Boston to play for the Hornets or Knicks.

And Indiana loses leverage each day knowing that Oladipo is damaged goods, and that Hayward is their best shot at landing a good wing player if/when Oladipo leaves. Even when the Pacers are flush with capspace, the only FA that would willingly go there will be locked into a deal with the Celtics.

Give us a pick, a pick swap, or Goga if you really want us to take McDermott. Danny shouldn't even answer the calls unless the Pacers give in on one of those demands.

In the meantime, Danny should be working the phones looking for a Center and a veteran PG.

Your last bit is what gives Indy leverage. Danny can't afford to wait as long as Indy can, because they're not winning much next season anyway, and hence have less need of vet additions.

Also, once the best FAs are taken, foisting McDermott off on somebody might become easier.

With coronavirus I still can't see Gordon signing with New York, but I think your overall point is correct.

I agree with this. That’s why I think it’s important that if a deal with the Pacers goes down, that it’s not too lopsided. If somehow Ainge gets Warren too, it’s important he gives up a 1st round pick to them and maybe even a 2nd rounder.

Or else people won’t want to deal with him too much in the future.

Hayward leaving to goto the knicks would be a huge lol on him worse than horford choosing the sixers.
