Langford and Horford back for Lakers game. Only players whose names end with "ford" can return from injury. Tough luck for Jaylen Brownsburg.

What's up with Brown's hamstring? Is this a chronic problem or bad luck or it is unclear atm?

It's recurrent. Not sure if it's chronic, but best case they're being cautious due to previous injury history. Worse case there is something in his back, running style, or the muscles themselves leading to chronic issues.

Hamstrings are obviously very tricky and this could be an ongoing issue all season.

One of the est players in history NOT in the HOF had to retire early from on going hamstring issues.. Kevin Johnson of the 1990s Phoenix Suns..

I am still way more worried about long term knees with Jalen than Hamstrings however.

KJs legs were putting in work, too.
Still one of my all-time favourite dunks...

Are you suggesting we sign TJ Ford to a ten day?

The medical staff for the celtics has got to be the worst in the entire league

even more than NEW COACH this was my biggest hope for last summer. Didn't hear anything about any changes, but if we keep tracking like this I hope it warrants organizational attention soon. I mean, who even is on the Celtics training staff? Do they have any experience/credentials, or is it just a few interns with a tablet connected to WebMD?

Not saying the medical staff is either good or bad, But a Hamstring isn't like a Broken bone or ligament. You can't really see "tightness" in a MRI.. Or even sore knees unless aplayer complains about it.. Do we really know that Jalyen didn't just say he "felt great" and wants to return.. Wouldn't be the first time a player even tricked himself into believing he could play..

again I don't know either way.. just thinking out loud..

I think by now the burden of proof is on the training staff to demonstrate they are competent. Last year we rushed Rob Williams back for a play-in game so he could miss time against the Nets. Maybe the responsibility lies elsewhere in the organization, but in a competitive sport you've got to make good decisions with your player's health.

Having brown back obviously helps and take some of the pressure off Tatum. Of course it's not a cure-all that Brown is back because his team is still under 500 when he plays.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
