I guess Ben Simmons is on Designated Rookie contract, and you can only have one of those on your team via trade. So as long as Ben is on the Nets, they can't trade KD for any of these other Designated Rookie players..

I doubt Bruce Brown is leaving the Nets. They seem intent on staying competitive regardless of the KD situation. Even more appealing to stay there if Kyrie's gone soon.

We were on a leaked list of 5 teams that someone posted somewhere on twitter. So, you know, that's pretty much 100% that he'd be a clam in Boston.

Gallo would be a nice signing. Obviously a bad defender but he can bring some much needed scoring punch.

I keep saying it, we just need one wing and one forward who can give you 15-20 minutes of offensive help each. That would have made a HUGE difference in our spacing in the playoffs.

Huge difference in resting the jays too. Not just guys to fill the slots, but guys who can make an impact. Guys who Ime will play and won't be worried they can't help hold a 20pt lead.

Not sure how much Gallo is going to help that. I think that would be more the perimeter/wing player I mentioned. I envision the PF/C rotation as one group and the PG/SG/SF as the other.

What I'd like for PF/C in the playoffs:

PF: Horford (8 minutes), Grant (20 minutes), Tatum (5 minutes), Gallo or other offensive forward signing/trade (15 minutes)
C: Rob (28 minutes), Horford (20 minutes)

Then what I'd like for PG/SG/SF:

PG: Smart (33 minutes), White (15 minutes)
SG: Brown (21 minutes), White (6 minutes), free agent or trade wing acquisition (21 minutes)
SF: Tatum (32 minutes), Brown (16 minutes)

Adding a guy like Gallo is more about reducing Horford's workload and getting some more front court spacing. It's the perimeter guy that will really help with Tatum/Brown.

Good post. I look at it as this --> we need to add 3 rotation players that can contribute in the Finals. A big, a swing player, and a point. I have faith in DWhite. But Grant Pritch and Theis all need to be jumped over in the depth chart. Plus we need an additional big to reduce minutes to Horf and RWill in the regular season. We need a lot more than what I've been reading if we're going to win it all.

Anderson i wanted but he's not a very good shooter so I'm not too upset about that one, there's others we can get for bench scoring who are better shooters. i like anderson's defense though and how switchable he is on D..
