I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that the Pistons value Duren WAAAYYYY more than Brogdon.

I'm back and ready to overreact to more Dame rumors.

But seriously, is there anything to the odds for us as favorites behind Miami? This on top of Spears mentioning Cs in yesterdays article and all the Tatum recruiting stuff.

I don't think the Celtics are necessarily done with their off-season. I think we have to wait to see how the Lillard stuff plays out. The eventual Lillard trade (which probably happens this week) will probably be a 3-5 team trade with a lot of moving parts. The Lillard trade will probably open up even more trades throughout the league. This could possibly provide an opportunity for the Celtics.

I think it's possible we could see a lot of action in the NBA over the next week starting with Lillard.

The Hornets have been hilarious this offseason, Kai Jones been wilding out.

C'mon man, Detroit would never do that trade. Duren is their center of the future. They just drafted him in the lottery and he had a very good rookie year and is only gonna get better since he's the youngest 2nd year player in the league.

Orlando wouldn't do that either. They're looking to move Anthony - not Suggs.

And Boston gets worse with that 2nd trade too. Isaac is never healthy and right now, this season Brogdon is better than Suggs.

Duren is the center of the future? That why they resigned Isaac and also traded for Wiseman?

And if Isaac is healthy the combo of isaac and suggs is better than Brogdon, but because of injury concerns, that is why Orlando pays us in suggs as opposed to Anthony.

Isaac isn't on the Pistons. Maybe you're thinking of Stewart? They play him more at the 4 now. They added Wiseman just to pick up some front court depth and to add a guy with some size and upside. Duren can't play all 48 minutes of every game. I think that trade was moreso to just get rid of Bey since he didn't want to stay there long term, so they saw a way of getting someone with some value and upside, while getting rid of Bey at the same time - had nothing to do with preferring Wiseman over Duren. Wiseman has been a bust in the NBA. Duren is better and has much higher upside.

Isaac is never healthy so your "if Isaac is healthy" hypothetical doesn't really apply.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

One of the few guys I would be interested in getting back *if* (and when) they move on from Brogdon is Immanuel Quickley. Young, is a bit smaller but probably better on defense regardless, can play 1-2 and has value on both ends. Will prob get a somewhat reasonable extension as well as an impending RFA.

NY does seem to have too many guards and is prob still hoarding picks to take a big swing somewhere. But he's one of a few guys on the short list that makes sense as a high end backup to White/Brown.

Agreed about IQ but also agree at this point they are likely holding on to all their picks/prospects for a future star trade. If Bucks or Sixers decide to blow it up by dealing their superstar I would assume Knicks will be one of the first teams in line. Don't see them trading any of their picks/prospects for a Brogdon type in the meantime.

Well as I said they are already stacked in the back court so I'm obviously not talking a one for one trade. Quickley's been around long enough he's crossing out of prospect territory regardless.

I personally think Portland has to get an offer that will blown them out of the water in order for them to consider a deal with Miami. Lillard will be traded somewhere else in my opinion.

I got roasted in the summer because I said I had heard that Portland had no interest in trading Lillard to Miami and would go out of their way to avoid it. Guess I don't seem so crazy. Shout out to the Discord group that flamed me.

All that being said, I'd love to see him go to the Raptors. Get Barnes out of the East and I don't think the Raps are a threat either way.

Dame - GTJ - Barnes - Siakam - Poetl is a really good starting 5. They could surprise people.

Especially if Barnes improves from last year.

You know it's a boring offseason when 3/4 of it is centered around speculation about Damian Lillard.

If there is a Dame Lillard trade soon you know Danny Ainge is going to have his hands in the middle of it somewhere. That's what Ainge does.
