No seriously, it's not even just his assists or potential assists, but the passes he didn't make or drives he didn't attempt. A pleasantly subdued game but he did suck on defense.
The infamous pass into three defenders was also the result of a good decision that was horribly poorly executed.

Just as I thought, we had no issue inbounding the ball. It only turned into a trap situation because Tatum thought he was getting fouled right away and held it while the rest of the team ran out.

Yep. Like Horford, he was also efficient with limited shots.
If you don't score you might as well be dead. Our guard D is as advertised but not even fully at its best! D is sexy too, but we all mainly highlight scoring. The NBA knew when Jrue was acquired the mistake the Bucks allowed to take place, even if fans don't. Bucks didn't make a bad trade at all, but they should have gotten a third team on board from the start, leaving no way for the Cs to get him. They probably thought we would be outbid. Many of us did too b/c of what we thought would be available (no Rob).

I'm glad I'm not a GM, our team would be the guys who never saw game action (rightfully so)! It would be binkie madness but we would have had a bunch of top 5 picks... that I probably would have bungled! we would have had giannis, hali, and Bane eventually tho. well, giannis would have asked to be traded before I got to the other 2 guys.

Like I said before, good win.
However, it's concerning because he held their two best players to 5-22 and 6-21 shooting and only won by 4 games.
Knicks only just shot 14-26 from the FT line as a team.
I already touched on our top 6 players. But Hauser struggled most of the preseason and struggled again in this, going 0-4.
Kornet was ok. But Hauser and Kornet are 2 guys that need to produce off the bench. If they don't get it going in the first 12-15 games, I want to see Queta and Svi/Stevens replace them.

You barely noticed he touched the ball in the 4th quarter? Brown does that in almost all close games in the 4th quarter.
If we are up 15 or down 15 in the 4th quarter, he will give you 10 points in the 4th. Close games in in 4th, he runs away from it.
The good thing is with KP and Holiday here, we don't need his scoring in the 4th.

It's nice that we can trust KP at the ft line. He hit at least 4 big ones at the end.

I am very relaxed.
He’s right though. 95% of your posts are going at “#7” because you don’t like the guy.
Don’t tell me what I am thinking or why I post what I post.
I wrote exactly what I am thinking about him basketball-wise - the good & the bad.
He almost gave the game away w 2 brain dead plays.
I should have included his 5 assists as a +.
Hope that somehow continues, & he learns how to compliment JT & KP, minimize to some extent his faults, & plays to his strengths.
I do want him to do well for as long as he is here to maximize the chances for #18.
I intentionally left out my previously posted personal feelings about him & will continue to leave them out going forward because they are not relevant to Celtics basketball.
Period.

Nah.
Truth is long gone - safely ensconced in the HOF & in Celtics lore.
The few years I followed him on other teams while maintaining my lifelong attachment to the Celtics are long gone.
I think I will stay here because 1) I want to see #18, #19 & #20; & 2) maybe just to bother u.
