Facts. But he's also been with the team for two months. Joe needs to figure out how to involve him more and/or use him right.

I don’t know why we moved away from the Holiday/Jaylen/KP pairing, and the Tatum/White one. I know the former struggled to start the year, but it was only a matter of time until they figured it out. Tatum/white+bench guys has been a staple for a year and a half, why change it.

Jrue turns down too many open catch and shoot threes, just let it fly man.

probably because he was trying to find a group that jb worked well with, tatum can lead any group.

This was the Celtics worst defensive performance of the season, based on defensive rating (120.8). 116.3 was our previous worst against the Knicks. Pacers offense won tonight. 74 points in the 2nd half. Just the 4th time in Mazzulla era a team scored 70+ in a half against the Cs, 2nd time by the Hali-led Pacers.

This loss is on Joe, Al and Jrue. Add Pritchard to that list, along with bad 3 pt shooting and inability to get to the line.

Joe continues to struggle making adjustments when all of our starters are playing.

Al and Jrue didn't have it all night, combining to score only 11 points while playing 69 minutes. They combined to shot 4 for 12.

In games like this, I would play them about 5 minutes less and go with Queta or Stevens. Or both. Stevens can defend some centers.

Good games by Hauser, Tatum, Brown and White. Kornet was really good in the 1st half.

We have two hustle guys off the bench. Stevens and Brissett. Joe never wants to play them. Put in some energy Joe. Maybe play a guy who has a chip on his shoulder coming back to play against his former team.

Team is still soft. Only 5 FT attempts as a team, not counting Tatum's 7 attempts.

He’s been missing pint blank shots. Floaters at the rim. Simple layups, free throws and wide open 3’s. It’s mostly on Jrue. He needs to figure this out himself.

No. Isn't a great leader nor makes his teammates better. Not unless he improves his assists to TO ration.
Top 5-9 players in the league, that's what he is.

Not sure why everyone is talking about Tatum and Brown on this thread. They are what they are. combined 6 assists to 5 TOs. Brown had 0 assists.

This loss is on Joe being outcoached. Jrue, Al and Pritchard playing really bad. Team continuing to be soft. 5 FT attempts as a team outside of Tatum's 7 attempts. Shooting bad from 3.

i got a few questions but the one I'll ask keeps being etched in my mind. why does Al always pass up the wide-open gimmie shot?? every big game we have had seems like I have an image of al passing up an easy bucket for a tougher one. it's almost as consistent as JB turning it over.

Too unselfish? Such a shame too. He's shooting 84.2% from close range, by far his career-high. And 50% from 3-10 feet, which isn't bad at all.

just watched the post-game, yall dogged jb in the game thread for that 4pt play, both joe and jb said it was al's fault (tried not to say al). said he was right and al was wrong and jb did all he could to contest after being put in that position. they explained why.

I'm honestly starting to think our entire approach to shot selection is in need of a rethink.

it may not be selfish but it can hurt in crucial moments. everyone makes mistakes, I'll give al a pass as he dunks the go-ahead to win the chip! :D

Often, he anticipates the defensive rotation. He knows defenders will suck in once he rolls and leave shooters wide open. Thinking pass even before he catches it. But yeah, sometimes you just have to go up against the smalls inside.

Feed that talking point to Gary Washburn and let him raise it with Mazzulla next presscon.
