His physicality and strength were an issue for Turner and it felt like their big guys stopped getting inside so easy.

It definitely had an effect.

Credit Tillman, he stayed ready.

Hope he does it again in Game 4.

Haters are furious seeing the Celtics turn the corner from unreliable to undeniable.

Crazy to be saying this but we'll do better defending Luka and Kyrie than we've done with Nembhard and McConnell. They play nothing alike. And even if those two go off, we'll be able to shut down the other guys. Problem with the Hali-less Pacers and their egalitarian offense, their pace and non-stop movement gave us fits. Mavs don't play that way. Almost everything revolves around Luka.

We are up 3-0 and need him going, shooters shoot, so we need to back him in.

Let’s get a few actions going for him to get going, keep the faith, if he gets a couple to go down it will be important.

We shot 24 3s at a 41% clip in the 1st half AND left 4 pts at the FT line... still well behind home Indiana

Indy was simply unstoppable, but we still beat them HarD at the end, and WON..

This W is diFFerent ! means that the Cs are different.

I certainly do not want to get ahead of things, and want to remain humble, but what we saw tonight is something different.

This team is LeGIT in ANY season. I have never seen a team (Indiana), destined to win a game, ever be denied at the end like that ... shocK

This is a very SPeCIAL win

Dallas (or Min), either, does not have this kind of caPacity.

This was a very SPeCIAL win, savor it !

Didn't read all the pages and I don't know if someone said it before - kudos to Joe for making the defensive adjustments to stop IND from killing us inside
The defensive scheme was abused by IND in the first half, taking advantage of our auto switch and getting a smaller guy defending a bigger guy in the paint. They just killed us. And not to mention not missing a shot
Joe electing to play Tilman over Brissett and changing the scheme a bit took away the easy baskets and made us run a bit
The defensive intensity in the fourth was great
JT, AL and Jrue had great games

And the refs should be ashamed. But it doesn't matter as we won

He said that with a soft buddy buddy voice. Lol

Adrian Griffin learned the hard way that if you're not buddy buddy with the players, you get fired.

I agree. Kidd’s buddy buddy and he got extended.

Nah. I think he should rest, and get ready for training camp. Lol

Come on, man, give him a second chance!

Ok. Maybe he’s saving everything in the finals hehe.

Re-watched the comeback video... so many things had to go right for the Celtics and so many things went wrong for the Pacers (their ridiculous shotmaking notwithstanding). I can't believe most of the breaks went our way.

For that win, I would like to thank the Basketball Gods for raining down their grace on us.

People can poo-poo on Joe all they like, we all know we’ll have the coaching advantage if we come up against the Mavs.

Yup. But if he misses two, yank him out fast. He’s not a pure shooter. Pure shooters never have slumps this long. He’s a rhythm shooter.

We also need Tillman to get some playing time because if we're facing the Mavs, we don't want Daniel Gafford to be Stormy Daniel against the Cs.

IMO it's really about game management, if he is defending and playing well and the game situation allows us to keep him in, we keep him in and feed him. Getting him some confidence for the finals would be massive.

With Jrue, Brown and Tatum we're well setup to guard Luka, because we can switch a lot and still have strength to guard him in the post and on the perimeter. White and Al would still hold their own too here. Luka can bully great defenders who don't have that core strength.

Kyrie is more of a threat to our defense because of his speed and insane shot making. We have not handled speed and constant movement as well, but in that regard this series against the Pacers is a good primer.

Luka and Kyrie will get numbers but I reckon we're well set up not to double and allow (to a degree) Luka to get his and be more a scorer. Also tire him out and then hunt him and Kyrie when we're attacking to tire them out more.

Joe made the right call keeping PP on the bench and playing Hauser instead. He handled the defense better while PP was abused all game long

I tell you guys, the Mavs and the Wolves would never generate the kind of offense that the Pacers are throwing at the Celtics.
