I've never really understood the "take fewer threes" people out there. The numbers pretty clearly indicate taking and making more threes in general is very highly correlated with winning games, and especially so for a team like Boston that lacks the highest level of offensive engine that guys like Jokic or Luka are.

Here is a little stat to confirm your point. Three point attempts in the regular season:
1 Boston Celtics 3482
2 Dallas Mavericks 3242
3-30 Cancun teams

Also funny how you never hear about how the Mavs take too many threes despite the fact they are much worse at making them (36.9% vs 38.8% for the Celtics). But if this season has taught us anything (besides the fact that the Celtics are an awesome team) is that you can't expect the media to do their job and report objectively on the facts when they are too busy spouting non sense on TV.

I’ve said it before but this is very much like the Boston 2022 Finals run. They ended the season on a big hot streak (better than Dallas’) then took out a couple good playoff teams. They even were favored to win the finals according to many.

But that was an actual good defensive team.

The team that controls the rebounds will have the upper hand.

And defense will be the deciding factor because both teams are good offensively.

Celtics attacking Luka and Kyrie, on defense, should also be a priority as Luka and Kyrie will tire out more easily.
