I've never seen a center play that far outside the three-point line on defense. Certainly that is not good for a coach to put a 7-footer in that position. And I agree coaching adjustments like what you said. The clippers literally do not have a center in there. That would be coaching 101

Idk why we don’t go JT at the 5 more often. Specially knowing what Springer can do defensively. Jrue, White, Speing, Brown and Tatum.
