Just some smoke, plus Woj saying the teams are talking. This is a NO sports reporter.

Our offer not leaking is weird

I think it's a good sign. The one that get done is always the one that doesn't leak

Was honestly thinking the same thing.

I honestly think were keeping Tatum, too. Rich Paul’s antics and the Lakers lowballs would make me refuse to deal him to NO.

Jaylen/Smart/Williams/Semi/14/Grizz pick/unprotected pick or 2?

The Dunc’d on guys had Jaylen as a better asset than the Lakers pieces, wouldnt be surprised if this board just really undervalues him.

Been saying this for a while. Brown is underrated. The season before the whole chemistry issue he ranked 5th among SGs in defensive ratings. He's an athlete, he's long, he can shoot, he rebounds well, he's quick. He still has a ton of potential I think on a different team he might've been in the running for all-star last season.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I think he's a parody account at this point.

Same guy who says Smart can't shoot every chance he can is also the same guy who was so happy to hear the news that the Celtics were talking with Rozier about coming back next year. Pretty funny that Marcus shot better than Rozier last year, and of course, finished 1st team All-Defense. But sure, "no one wants Marcus Smart".

I like Rozier and hope the Celtics retain him.

Rozier is a better shooter than Smart.

I don’t believe the Pelicans really want Smart given where they are in the rebuild.

Smart isn’t a good shooter.

What is so wrong with these statements?

Brown can’t dribble. Smart can’t shoot. Once Lakers throw Kuz in, this deal is done.

lol dude go to the Lakers board with your crap.

Somehow Lakers "offer" is leaked.

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN??

Lakers are being used as leverage to up Boston's offer or any other team's offer.

Boston's offer probably isn't that high so leaking it might lower any incoming offers

That’s right some tall cliche’ speaking failed meteorologist who became a sports anchor with decent looks and great hair who works in New Orleans says the deal could be done as soon as tonight

Reversed psychology. And here we are thinking we might the leverage, instead it's the Lakers.

Right, but you also have to look at which teams could have 32+ million in cap next summer to offer Davis.. and which teams could maneuver to create room..

Depending on what they do with their cap space this summer, and how they manage their point guard situation, the Bulls could go into July 2020 with a Sacramento-esque young team trending upward with a spot for Davis at the 5..

Portland could have Lillard, McCollum, Nurkic, Collins and a max slot..

New York could be in the running if they pull off something smart - use their pick, take on expiring money for assets, sign players to big one year deals and see if they can flip them by the deadline, the way the Bulls turned Jabari Parker into Otto Porter, and add another lotto pick in the next draft..

The Clippers, Mavs, Suns, Heat, Spurs, Rockets and Nuggets could, in theory, have a max slot and a hole at power forward, depending on what they’re able to do over the next year..

How far do you think this would this team go: Conley, Smart, Tatum, Hayward, Capela

That's probably close to what our starting 5 will look like if AD falls through.

This isnt happening tonight. Posturing negotiations from LA and the pels trying to wait it out. No urgency tonight on either side.

Woj on SC just said what he thinks if the Celtics offer Tatum it will be packaged with a less offer. If it’s brown, it will be packaged with a lot of assets. Also said the Durant injury helps the Celtics believe they can keep Kyrie.

Windy on SC - pelicans don’t like the lakers offer which is why the lakers are shopping the #4 pick around. Pelicans are serious about making a move now

Agreed. Bulpett usually chimes in when talks have stalled, and he gives an update as to why a trade hasn't happened yet. I remember last year, he came out and explained that the Cs would not overpay for Kawhi without a commitment from him to stay in Boston.

Because I think the Lakers have the better package and group of players when Tatum isn’t involved?... Got it.

Maybe. I can see and the nets offering Durant a max contract. That way he and Durant make a run in the playoffs next season.
