Just some real questionable moves......On another note I feel so sorry for Abby Chin during those postgame interviews. She can barely crack a smile because Joe keeps rambling and is VERY nervous around her. It's been a few seasons now, you'd think he'd loosen up a bit LMAO.

He was bad all night, but I didn't mind the fouling while up 6 strategy, and it would have worked if Tatum didn't commit a dumb foul there.

It doesn't happen around here with these guys. Brown was just as bad as Tatum in the 4rh. He had that pull up 3 where he barely touched the damn rim earlier in the 4th.

They got tight.

But as much as Tatum went off in the 4th, no one is talking about it with Brown. It's ok to give him the credit on this one.

Also. White was just about as bad as you can get. I doubt he's that bad again.

Brown was good on that specific shot all season, the corner three with a defender standing 1 inch from him but not contesting shot. He was better on that shot than wide open corner threes. It's almost like he spent the whole season practicing for that moment.

Brown has never had a game tying or winning shot with under 10 seconds to go in his entire NBA career.

Wether he was capable of making that shot isn't the question. It's the fact that he's never done it in the circumstances. I had zero faith it was going in because Brown isn't that guy. Not until that moment.

There were a lot of good and bads in this one, but the main positive spin I have is that we were down in this game with under 2 minutes to play in BOTH regulation and overtime. Yet, we found a way to win. That's progress and showing how we didn't fold in a close one.

It really triggers me that there are Tatum apologist unwilling to concede that Brown was that guy last night.

We all get it. Tatum went off in overtime. That Brown was just as unimpressive in the 4th as Tatum before that final sequence of events.

But if you can't let a post about how Brown saved that game go without interjecting your Tatum bias then it says a lot.

Brown was that guy last night and it appears to took all the pressure off Tatum in OT because before it he was shanking game tying and game winning shots.

I'm convinced Jaylen Brown's free throw troubles are all focus related. Jaylen Brown stepped up to the free throw line with 57 seconds to go in the game and the Celtics down 115-112. Swished both of them, didn't even touch the rim. Pacers 115-114. Credit to him but in my opinion he should be doing that more often. Focus!

Is this the first year you follow the Celtics?

A wins a win. JB gave the team a second chance.

Hauser was terrible and needs to step up. If he can't help the team in this series, then Joe Mazz needs to give Oshae an opportunity to contribute.

None of those happened in the playoffs.

Thanks for the confirmation though that Brown was that guy and not Tatum.

Celtics in 5.

But you better hope they avoid the Wolves. Joe doesn't have the coaching brain to beat a defense like that.

Atleast against the Mavs they probably don't concede **** to Kidd.

JB gave the Cs a 2nd chance.

That's 100% accurate.

JT gave the Cs the win.

1:13 left in OT and the Pacers were leading 123-121.

But JT's 6 points in 30 secs, 1:12 to :42 secs left in OT, allowed the Cs to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

So if it's Minny vs. Boston in the finals, you have Minny winning the chip?

No. I have it as a major problem for the Celtics because they don't have a coach who can guide them through it.

Celtics should win because it's their turn, they have the better roster.

But it wouldn't surprise me to see them fold under defensive pressure giving they don't have a single offensive scheme to fall back on.

This would have been a blowout win by the Celtics if it wasn't for the damn bench. They gave away the lead every time they came in. Mazzulla really needs to think about not playing Hauser anymore in this series. Especially not with Pritchard already on the floor as it kills the defense.
Edit: Extend Mazzulla

Why are the variables an excuse? In other words, what happened is why you don't employ that strategy. It was dumb.

Joe really gonna trade free throws for free throws down the stretch giving the Celtics inability to hit clutch free throws?

Brown making those two free throws was flabbergasting to me if I'm being totally honest.

Return to Boston Celtics
