That would greatly surprise me, if you mean this year.
He can only be on the All Rookie team his rookie year... unless he changes his name to Ben Simmons.
Hey Man, nice shot!

Really want to see how Tacko looks when basketball is his full time job. Hes made tremendous progress in one summer alone. Really think he’s worth it.

The guy is driven. Have read online he's planning to reach out proactively to guys like KG and one site said Embiid too. This opportunity would be stupid not to pursue. You already have a gameplan sample to consider in your own division.

I am honesty going to be really dissapointed if they don't sign him and give him minutes this year. His skills and height are too unique to not use in certain situations. Grant and Edwards have been impressive as well and hopefully get some rotation minutes. I know Wannamaker is solid but I'd like to see what Edwards can do backing up Kemba.

He’s signed through the pre-season via his exhibit 10 deal— no need for Ainge to do anything at this time.

There’s no shot he doesn’t get an NBA opportunity after his SL showing. Some NBA team will sign him if it stupidly isn’t us.
He’s without a doubt playing in this league.
Agreed. I'm positive more than one GM is kicking themselves for not grabbing him in round 2. They will be waiting to pounce if Ainge doesn't.

I'm not quite sure when or how it kicks in, but I believe on an Exhibit 10 the team is limited to offering a two-year deal, and after that the player becomes an unrestricted free agent.

The Thunder would probably be first in line for Tacko. They need to find something to draw fans in after losing two superstars. Tacko would help with some renewed interest in the team and definitely sell some tickets on his own.

Personally I believe if they sign him he won't get into NBA games this year sans injury needs. He still has quite a bit of athletic/conditioning work that will allow him cover more ground defensively. You're still going to want him to be able to challenge out to the 3pt line. In time, I think he will be capable. But as I've written before, I see him as a short minute guy with high level of activity while he's out there. IMO, if the vision is realized and he signs and finds a role in time, the team is best served to speed up when he's out there rather than slowing down. He has shown he can run hard end to end for a fairly good stretch for someone his size. Until and unless he shows promise of an elbow jumper and high post/low post passer, he's relegated to a garbage points or matchup specific isolated low post scoring opportunities. So the idea is to scramble the defense just enough to open space for Tacko to get the ball at the rim with little maneuvering needed scoring chances or putbacks. My 2 cents.

It runs through until rosters are cut down from 20 to 15

I"m pretty sure there are times when he could come in and be a defensive difference maker, even if he's not up to speed, literally, on covering out to the 3.

Oh, I definitely agree. I just think his 1st year is best served working on nuances of the game and furthering development of the rudimentary stage areas like shooting, passing, low post counter moves, etc. I do prefer the NBA deal to the 2 way deal as I assume they can assign a coach to take him aside and really drill him at certain parts of the season while shuttling to Maine to play and allow more room for experimentation. The other aspect to consider is the reality of the current numbers they have at the 5 spot right now and I don't know if the team would consider deploying Timelord at the 4. I could be just splitting hairs here.

I think there are plenty of teams he could play against as a drop coverage big.
There aren't so many guards that can pull up on a dime and stroke the 3 or stretch 5s that he would be unplayable.
Detroit, NYK, and Charlotte are teams he could even start against without being exposed too bad.

He signed the exhibit 10 deal so we have until the end of training camp.
I am sure danny is still seeing if there are things out there on the trade market. When the time is right, I think tacko gets at least a two way deal.
