I think part of it is because Rob is one of the best shot blockers and rebounders in the NBA

But another part again is not putting players around that compliment each other.

Grant, Horford, Hauser, Kornet, whomever are all slow as molasses and can't rebound or provide a lick of rim protection.

It might be critical to find a shadow of a Rob Williams level of a player in the trade market just so we can have enough athleticism on the floor to compete physically on the floor.

Again I know they won't be able to do what he does, but if they can at least dominate rebounding and be a factor near the rim and catch lobs that will compliment what Grant and Horford can do at PF so much and allow us to not be a complete layup line every single second Rob is on the bench.

I love him. Some in depth info, part of the reason they were open to moving him was he’s such a slow decision maker offensively, slowed down the pace they wanted to play at.

The locker room loves him though, and it’s mutual. I’d take him back in a heartbeat.

Rob's activity double edged sword. Either he gets a spectacular block or teammates left scrambling cos we just left someone open or no one to grab the board.

Check out the number of consecutive seasons Spurs were above .500 and made the playoffs.. This is their first full rebuild season but Derozan and Murray weren’t getting them anywhere..
