Simons/pritchard

Sengun/garza

Lots of capspace in offseason to add a player, get tatum back and probs a great pick.

Yeah. Celtics take that one.

Houston does not.

Why would they? Jaylen is a top tier player, but can't see Houston offering up that package. The price is too steep. Take Thompson out of the equation, and they might go for it. Would we, though?

Bahahahaha

That's not bad, $45M for 5 players mostly at the bottom of your roster, say 1x $30M, 1x MLE, 3x minimum contracts.

Except there's no way to acquire the $30M guy except for sign and trade.

Paying the repeater tax is the price of operating over the cap. If we shed salary, we can only rebuild with draft picks and MLE, until we are at the tax and aprons again.

It's basically Simons or bust at this point, whether keeping him , trading him, or sign/trading him.

That list already has 3 guys at the "bottom"

That list only has 3 starters and 2 legit bench pieces (one not playable in playoffs) and no fromt court.

They're not looking to go above their maxed out Jays and DWhite at the top. Rico will be a burgeoning star by then. :D PP and Sammy are proven. Hugo will be a bargain. Garza and Queta, Amari's backups.

All those teams are better than the celtics now.

Cavs
Hawks
Knicks
Magic
Philly (if healthy)

Possibly
Pistons
Raptors
Buck

In same tier as
Heat

Plus Brad has already screwed up the 26 and 27 drafts.

Plus JB is going to suffer a career ending injury.

Plus DW is actually 38 years old.

We're DOOMED.

Brad would probably would somehow screw up the 2026 #1 pick

Really? You post a lot on this forum, and yet you don't know who Rico is? FYI, Rico is Baylor Scheierman's nick name due to his resemblance to Uncle Rico (a character in the movie Napoleon Dynamite).

We’ve been calling him Rico since he was drafted. Someone said he looks like uncle Rico from Napoleon dynamite, can’t unsee it!

Props to whoever said it! Sorry I can’t recall at the moment.

IMO they'd have to consider it. Sengun was the #2 option on the 2nd best record in the West, is 8 yrs younger and is signed for 5 years with a contract that never exceed $40M. So a savings of $20-30M/yr for a younger legit #2 option plus 4 future firsts that can be used with Simons/Niangs contacts to get another stud before next season.

I still expect Hauser to get moved...

This is Houston's reaction to your ridiculous trade suggestion a few pages back.

You talk so much but you've offered zero logical ways forward for the Celtics

You’re not getting all that for Brown. That’s a package you put together for Giannis or Joker, not Brown. Frankly I’m not sure either Sengun or Thompson are available for trade. Thompson probably is but not Sengun.

I’d rather Simons.

MUCH easier to work with a crappy defender at guard than a crappy defender at center.
