If there was ever a statistic that made me more frustrated than +/-... Constantly used in random contexts simply to support the opinions of the person bringing up the stat.

On it's own +/- doesn't say much -- ESPECIALLY in small sample sizes.

The Utah Jazz are willing to engage in talks on a Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade deal with the Boston Celtics, league sources told the Tribune on Wednesday evening, on one condition: Hayward, who committed to signing with the Celtics on Tuesday, would have to agree and get the ball rolling.

According to ESPN, the Celtics are shopping rotation regulars Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart and Jae Crowder to clear enough salary cap space to sign Hayward. Any one of those three would help the Jazz start trying to fill the void created by Hayward's departure.

Wasn't he banged up at the end of the Euro season? Or am I just making that up?

Well, he was pretty gassed up by the end. He played the Adriatic league, than the Turkish league and the Euro league. That's about 80 games, most of them as a starter and it adds up on such a young player with such an heavy frame.

Than he comes to Boston with barely any vacation time, starts conditioning and has to play at an high altitude. He is completely lost on defense as the schemes he is used to, the rules and even the style of play are different.

Who would look good in such a situation?
