Not really new news I suppose but it reinforces as to what many people believe is going to happen.
Kyrie may leave, he may not, but the day the Knicks get no one of real importance is going to be a **** show on here and boost my forum ego into the nosebleeds even though I have no rational reason for my lack of faith in anything good happening to their franchise.

We know Kyrie is likely going to stay in Boston.
But the thing is, is KD lame enough to run away from GS?Spoiler:

Ainge isn't a moron and I think he communicates with Kyrie regarding the future of the Celtics just like he does with Stevens. Maybe not as much, but Kyrie's part of the inner circle. The media just like a freaking soap opera and drama.

You are doing God's (Russell's) work in these threads.

Stevens appreciates his star’s sentiment, but from what he can see their collaboration has been clicking all along. The Celtics coach also believes that too much attention is paid to all of Irving’s nuances.
“It’s one of those things, where Kyrie’s every step is over-analyzed. In fairness to him, way, way over-scrutinized,” the Celtics coach said. “He’s a really smart guy, very easy to get along with, very easy to be around, so I’ve never looked at it as something that was broken or needed to be fixed.
“We’re in an 82-game season, there’s ups and downs, and we’re both trying to get to the same place, which is to win and be the best we can,” Stevens said. “I’ve kept coaching, he’s kept playing, and it’s been good all year in my eyes. If he said that, I guess it’s a good thing, but not going out of my way to be different than I am, and I don’t want him to be different than he is. We’re just trying to be the best version of ourselves.”

Pierce in 03/04?
He got close in a handful of other years too.

If we can't make it past round 2 I reckon he will look at his options, if we can make it to at least the ECF and make that a series then hopefully there's a good chance he stays, particularly if he's confident we get AD or someone of that caliber.

I don't want to say the playoffs are meaningless but:

Classic Wu is always an automatic and 1 from me.

Boston is the pragmatic choice. In Boston he also has a chance to pair with AD, if that happens he won’t even look like a ring chaser.
