Listening to that, I would never have guessed that, for years, Jayson was living in poverty in the US while his Dad was playing ball on another continent.

Seeing it live now - the bits that stick out from the jersey on his shoulders do look cool

But I think they would look cooler if he made them into wings. Do you think that could be done with an expert artist? Or would that be blasphemous lol

Tatum the man and today you see what he looks like when he goes into alpha mode.

It's too bad hes gonna spend his early part of his career with guys who arent even in his stratosphere talent wise.

Are those shoulder tattoos newly made by Tatum? Looked like the saran wrap was peeling off.

I'll say it lol, he has best player in the league type of potential. I mean Giannis is still young so he will rule for awhile, but I'm starting to really think Tatum will be a perennial MVP candidate type.

I kinda get now why the tattoo was designed that way. Maybe Jayson Tatum IS the apostrophe.

Was pretty pissed at the outcome today, even though I was serious when I said I felt we lose this one. Tough to sweep LA when they are decent.

But man Tatum lately. He out plays so called superstars now, he IS becoming the superstar. :o He's young so sometimes mistakes do happen......but he's busting out.

And I think Kemba knew this. We were all like worried about the team last year and the future, but Kemba knew man. He KNEW Tatum had potential to be that guy on a finals team and said he could be a top 5 player. :o

Wow, if he can become a better decision maker/passer then there is just blue sky up above....everything else is THERE. Thank god AD didn't want to be here.

Tatum has already exceeded every prediction for his ceiling from even as recently as this summer. He is playing like a top 5 player right now. Was on the floor with Lebron and Davis and he looked like best player in building tonight. This is special and he is 2-3 years away from his peak years.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

We went from a top 10-15 all NBA player potential to mvp / best player in league potential in two weeks. Slow down haha.

Tatum will spend his prime as a top 10 player with a few peak years at the MVP level if he keeps this up along this trend. The difference maker is his defensive impact. He may be all NBA this year.

Ceiling is Rudy Gay or at best pre-injury Danny Granger I’d say. Only putting up 23/7/3 at 21.

I love how Tatum sounded mad after the game. 41 points vs LeBron’s Lakers is a big deal on paper and he doesn’t sound like gives a damn. That’s the kind of ambition that’s gonna make JT a great player and not just a good one.

Well, there's still the bit, much discussed this evening, about being more effective when the other team decides to shut him down from scoring.

ANY player struggles with that when his teammates aren't very good -- Paul Pierce certainly did in his prime -- but as good as Tatum's teammates are he should more fluently punish the attention lavished on him.
