Send this man to the ASG. Would he be the first interim coach to do so? Youngest? First all-star coach whose name has a double z and double l?

His no-timeouts policy will work perfectly there!

Jazz and kings game is really entertaining. Back and forth for awhile, Fox with a crazy dunk on K.O. and of course the threat of “the beam”!

Wrong thread obviously… I blame 1 am posting

Looks like Damon’s coaching record will remain unblemished.

Stoudamire showed he’s a lot better at adjusting & calling timeouts.

give me a break. damon coached 2 games. and 1 of them was against probably the worst team in the league.

and being better at calling timeouts? lol. you want to elaborate on that? sounds like a weird analysis.

I’m not criticizing Joe’s timeout usage here, but that’s a terrible analogy lol.

He’s a terrible coach. He looked “good” at the start of the season because we were drowning 3’s at an unsustainable rate. He doesn’t know when to call timeouts, he can’t adjust to different situations, he can’t run schemes & he can’t get this team to play simple defence.

He’s a good dude & a good assistant coach but as a head coach he’s way over his head.

To add to what I said, I can’t blame him too much though. He went from being more of a friend to the players as an assistant coach to suddenly then put in a position where he had to replace a stern leader like Ime that commands the respect of the room.

We know this team only responds well to that type of coach because they go back to old habits like too much Iso ball & no effort on the defensive end when they have someone who doesn’t command the room.
